Hostage situation, suicide bomb threat at school in Paris suburb – reports

Photos of the extensive police presence and a safety perimeter around the area have appeared on social networks.

A local woman has posted a tweet to express her shock, “When your daughter tells you that there is a hostage-taking situation at her lyceum, with the RAID intervention.”

The woman added, though, that the hostage-taking situation was near the lyceum, and that an intern journalist for Le Figaro had reassured her that no hostages had been taken.

Newspaper Le Parisien, has also denied the online reports of a hostage-taking at the lyceum. According to the media outlet, a “madman” is being surrounded by security forces.

Not again. I hope this is a case of false reports, the tragedies in Paris are still fresh in the minds of France.

It has nothing to do with the high school, probably some kids thought they were targeted because the RAID was near.
It was just a madman wearing an electronic bracelet, in his home. When the police came in to talk about his judicial review, he pointed a gun at them and said he'll blow himself up. So they called the RAID in.

It's over now and the guy has been arrested. It was just blown out of proportion by the kids, i guess.

We used to get those all the time back in Elementary school. They'd march us all out to the field out back and then wait for the all clear.

In hindsight, if you were a real sick fuck, it'd have been so easy to just call a threat, go out there with an automatic and just mow us all down before any law enforcement could show up. Thankfully, it was just a bunch of punk kids pulling a prank the whole time.
