The hell, already?
The game isn't even out yet. These maps better not be shit
This game is so over hyped.. We don't NEED map packs announced before the game's even released.
Just put it in the fucking game now
See I agree on DLC that extends the lively-hood of the game. Like FO3 for example. This is just outrageous, they are whoring for money (but in an obvious in your face way). First they charge more than average for their game on the PC (and then the whole special editions being super expensive as well). Then they announce their DLC before even releasing the game. Let alone a DLC like this should have already been included in the game to begin with (and in an MP game, not having the map packs can be devastating).
I'm not going to even bother playing it when it's out. I'll be playing bad company 2:c00l:
I thought the purpose of DLC was to add onto a game that had been already released.
listen guys, this is a great marketing decision, by the time March 2010 comes along, this game will be about 5 months old, and people will of started to get bored of it and going to other new games coming out (bad company 2 for example), so the most obvious thing to do to keep people interested: add new maps. They announce it now, but chances are you will forget this announcement by January. Then in March when you go to buy Bad Company 2 and you hear about new maps for Modern Warfare 2, you will buy those maps and play Modern Warfare 2 again, maybe even getting back into it, and playing it more than you used to.

I feel for them economically, but I feel that they should have just left it unannounced until after the game release. This just makes it seem that they are wanting to make money off of something that should have been in the game already.

But that DLC extended all aspects of the game and added in new weapons, vehicles, and music as well. The problem I have with this DLC is that all it is is a few maps. If they add in new coop missions and/or new attachments/weapons as well as the few new multiplayer maps, I won't mind shelling out $10 because it shows that they'd have spent a fair amount of time thinking up, making, and balancing these new things. But from what I've read, they've been called "map packs" which makes me think they're just sticking to the method of releasing overpriced maps that someone on the PC could make and test for free. Sucks I don't have a good enough computer to run it with good graphics since I know the gameplay will be fine. Hell, for $10 Saint's Row 2 added new missions, clothes, and vehicles and Fallout 3 added whole new areas, missions, weapons, and armor. How come Infinity Ward can't do the same?

Meh video game companies are there to make money not be a charity business but I won't buy this anyway. And for those who bitch about DLC there used to be a thing called "Expansion packs" DLC is just the same thing with less content and a lot cheaper nothings changed
Retards missed the point of a DLC

Activision
Activision
This but, It's sorta good because when people get bored they release the new pack extending the game, you know bring faith back to the players for the game :-)
Well like I said, Activision CEO wants a bigger mansion.
I hope the map packs are free on the pc like they were for cod4 and waw.
fuck what!?It's like saying,we are planning to release a patch already, for our unreleased game,I know you would ask why wont you just fix the game now, when it is not released yet,but we ask you,why there are patches then?
I kinda expected this. Fuck you activision, just put it in the game already god damnit.
worked with world at war except for me it was free because i am a pc
you're a pc?
Do you PLAY ONLINE? That can be countless hours of fun, unless you bitch about people having better guns than you.
mm playing the same maps over and over for 5 months
you're a pc?
Yes, but unlike the people of white void land, he knows of anti virus.
I hope the map packs are free on the pc like they were for cod4 and waw.
They will be, I can gurantee
mm playing the same maps over and over for 5 months
So play a different map, or challenge yourslef and a couple of friends to a Nazi Zombie match. Nazi Zombies is always fun.
I hate DLC announcements before the game is going to come out.
Agreed. This tells you that they are lazy to put it in. And map packs are just dumb, making people pay for maps. I would only pay if they added new features, or new missions for SP. Or, make it a pack that would really worth those 10-20 bucks
