President Donald Trump is planning to pull the United States out of the Paris climate change agreement, according to a White House official, in a move that is certain to infuriate America’s allies across the globe and could destabilize the 2015 accord. The upcoming decision is a victory for hardliners such as senior White House adviser Stephen Bannon, who argued that the deal would hobble the U.S. economy and Trump’s energy agenda, and a defeat for moderates like Trump’s daughter Ivanka, who feared that withdrawing would damage U.S. relations abroad. Trump had promised during the campaign to “cancel” the nearly 200-nation agreement, the most comprehensive climate pact ever negotiated.
Unprecedented Job-killing carbon tariffs inbound. Once this administration's gone, the next will simply reverse it's stupidity.

EU: Please sanction the United States
EU: Please sanction the United States
They wont. the countersanctions would be far reaching, hell, Orange in Chief might pull out of NATO and tell them to fend for themselves knowing how irrational he is.
Hey, look on the bright side. If the global community applies sanctions which destroy your economy, we'll lower global pollution even better than before! Everyone wins! Except Trump's America!
It's almost like electing a complete retard was a bad idea.
They wont. the countersanctions would be far reaching, hell, Orange in Chief might pull out of NATO and tell them to fend for themselves knowing how irrational he is.
This president is probably the biggest threat to national security today
Hey, look on the bright side. If the global community applies sanctions which destroy your economy, we'll lower global pollution even better than before! Everyone wins! Except Trump's America!
Nobody is going to sanction the United States. Be realistic.
There should be repercussions considering US had already signed and ratified. Doesn't help with trust either, if we can't expect any agreements last longer than 4 years. Either way, really fucking disappointing.
Nobody is going to sanction the United States. Be realistic.
Macron has 10 lb titanium testicles, I have no doubt he would rightfully push for US sanctions.
Macron has 10 lb titanium testicles, I have no doubt he would rightfully push for US sanctions.
Are you willing to Toxx on it? We're not talking about leadership (an issue at hand when he stood up to Putin), we're talking about sanctioning the largest economy in the world, to the detriment of France / EU's own economy.
Can't wait for China to have cleaner air than the US
It's stuff like this that makes me wish we could have this administration thrown into a volcano. It'd be a far better use of it than fucking over the world in the long term.
It should also be mentioned that he's planning to withdraw. There is no official announcement yet. He still has to discuss this with Secretary of State Tillerson. Title is a bit confusing. Except Trump's America!
I don't think it's worth it for anyone to sanction the US. Sure, letting the US damage our common planet is bad, but starting a shitstorm of sanctions and high tensions between Europe and the US would be even worse for everybody. Basically it got worse for everybody, but there's no need to make it even worse.

I don't believe that for a second.

I think that more important is for US itself to protest against it. Ultimately, this might and might not have a significant eggect. The green tech will likely roll regardless, and I am pretty sure something can be remedied once Trump is out of office. Biggest threat is that the move will destabilize the agreement with other countries. Maybe I am wee bit too optimistic.
While it would be "hypocritical" and similiar to what Trump is and is trying to do, it'd be great if the next American President repealed all of Trump's bullshit and reset America to what it was before Trump came to power. Because this is horseshit.
This president is probably the biggest threat to national security today
Oh no doubt. He's worse than having noone in office at all. My half cynical half sarcastic 'Chair for Pres 2016' remarks are looking less cynical by the day. GJ Drumpf, you're worse at your job than your chair would be.
And then we begin a cycle of presidents working to undo their predecessor's legacy and stagnate the country
Would you really rather continue down the road Trump is leading us on?
The current republicans in the US government are a cancer on the world. This is ridiculous and scary.

Well, Exxon actually have a commercial incentive to do so: going from coal to gas is the easiest way to halve your emissions and Exxon sells gas.
Would you really rather continue down the road Trump is leading us on?
No, but I'm not saying that. Things have become so partisan that each successive president is going to work to undo the last. From a conservative's point of view, it's a beautiful thing what Trump is doing; from a liberal point of view, it's a monstrosity what he's doing. When Democrats take control, it's going to just become a neverending cycle of partisanship where nothing gets done unless one party has full control of the government (which Republicans still feel to accomplish things).

Blame Trump, he's the one that seems to be trying to undo anything with Obama's name on it and very little else.
