Actually liked RWJ in the beginning but he changed quick once the bigger money rolled.
Although I have to agree with the video that a lot of the "jokes" really didn't age well and are just cringy today.

I swear looking back 50% of his jokes were about his dick, 40% "lol I'm small!", and 10% gay jokes.

I totally forgot about RWJ, and even as a teenager I didn't like the idea of him just taking other people's videos and interspersing him with his tons of jump cuts. So it was pretty weird to me when Daniel Tosh got a successful TV show doing basically the same thing, only (I assume) getting permission to use the videos.
It's hard to think of a lot of early Youtubers I liked and how well/poorly they aged. I liked Nostalgia Critic I guess, but man I think his videos aged really badly. That kind of humor is just unbearable to me nowadays.

Its funny though, this shit was funny to a lot of us even on here back in those days, a couple of times RWJ used to get posted around, obviously the forums turned on it pretty quickly but its still funny sometimes to go through old school LMAO pics and see troll faces and le memes all over the place, like one of the above posters said, we all grow up, mature and our tastes change
The only really good long term impact that Ray William Johnson ever did was start penguinz0's YouTube career.

Last time I heard anything of RWJ it was back when people still liked GradeAunderA and he accused Ray of stealing his jokes, it's hard to feel bad for him when he pulls things like that.
RWJ was really only good at spreading viral videos. His actual content ranged from shitty to forgettable.
How many early youtubers still survived? So many had faded away or gone to do other shit.
I always hated RWJ from the start. I never saw what was so great about him.
