[QUOTE]POLICE are diverting traffic from West Ipswich after discovering more suspicious material in a home where an explosion injured three men last night.Specialist police are now conducting further examinations at the Clay Street home where an explosion occurred around 6.30pm Thursday.
...
Earlier, it was reported that police were investigating possible links between a blast that left a man seriously injured last night and other unexplained explosions around Ipswich.
Neighbours spoke of hearing explosions regularly in the past three to four months, with an unexploded bomb even recently found at the Bunnings site several months ago - just across the road from the home involved in last night's incident.
Forensics are now examining the Clay street home in West Ipswich after performing three further controlled explosions of the substances last night.
Yamanto police acting inspector Geoff Noller said other investigations into explosions would be taken into account.
Investigators have pulled objects, including party poppers, from the house's bins while examining the damage, believed to be a hole blown through a table.
The 6.30pm explosion injured a 37-year-old man's hands. He underwent surgery overnight, while a 43-year-old man has been released from hospital.
A third man was admitted to hospital this morning after police visited a nearby house.
Acting Insp Noller said controlled substances were ones "you can't buy at Woolworths".

That was near/in leichhardt, my friend didn't live too far away from him, the kid suffered from autism or something supposedly a couple of cunts did it which is so fucked up
But man, Mayor Paul Pisasale is a top bloke, he spent time with him and set up a charity to get funds to cover the surgery and hospital cost
Is this the usual idiots accidentally blowing themselves up making explosives for fun scenario?
the cop in the photo looks strangely like gordon ramsay
"This kid was sitting right next to the bomb. look at his ass! It's fucking RAW! And his hands are burnt! Give me your jacket and get the FUCK out of my crime scene!"
I'm guessing it was people making sparkler bombs

I'm terrible with my UK geography, but iirc the biggest selling point of Ipswich here is that it's relatively close to London. :v:

I wonder what they ultimately planned to use their bombs for.
I mean, it seems stupid to just "make bombs just to blow whatever up, I'unno".
