Hi everyone, this is a big update! :)
I wanted to keep my plans for a new game secret until Halloween, but while my teasers have created excitement for some people, they have created some confusion as well, mainly because people don't know if the Five Nights at Freddy's story is over or not.
It's very important for me to say again that there will NOT be a Five Nights at Freddy's 5. The story is complete, and the Halloween update and new game will not add to it.
That being said, I wanted to use these characters in a new and fun way because they are so near and dear to my heart, and I was excited to work on a type of game that I hadn't made in a long time.
The new game that I'm working on will be called FNAF World. It will not be a horror game, but a role playing game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, phantom, and nightmare versions. I've been working steadily on characters and hope to start on enemy models next week.
The bad news is that it's unlikely that a demo will be ready for Halloween like I had hoped, since this game's scope is significantly larger than previous games in the series. However, I will release a free demo, as promised, as soon as it's ready!
FNAF World will be released on PC, Android, and iOS. I don't have an estimated release date yet since the game is still early in development.
I hope you enjoy the new designs of the "adventure" characters, as I call them. Stay tuned for more updates!
Waiting for FNAF Kart myself
When's the FNAF MOBA being announced?
I'd milk this too if I could.
there are people on this forum who, and unironically i might add, bought the first fnaf, and quite possibly bought them all so far.
I don't blame him.
Kind of curious how this is gonna work though.
Me too.
I agree, there are characters in this but do they have any personality in the games? Could you flesh out a character off them?
there are people on this forum who, and unironically i might add, bought the first fnaf, and quite possibly bought them all so far.
The first game was actually not bad. It was a fairly creative and novel approach for a horror game, had lots of little lore pieces for people to work out on their own. Shit, Facepunch was one of the first communities to really pick it up and give a shit about it in those first few days before it became a sensation. Everything afterwards is where things went wrong.

Wow, people bought a game that they thought they would like, and they bought the sequels to the game they like? Who would have thought.
Anyway, this seems interesting, I wonder how it will look.
FNAF games are great as little mobile games to play when you're bored and that's generally the platform that most people/kids play it on. They're nothing earth shattering. But to say they're all objectively bad isn't really true either.
They're fun for a lot of people and Scott kinda realizes that so he's wanting to do all he can with it before people lose interest.
Hard to say that I wouldn't do the same thing if something I came up with caught fire like that.

There are also people, who, unironically I might add, tease those who have differing tastes.

There are also people, who, unironically I might add, copy someone's post almost word to word to effortlessly sound sarcastic
Can't people just enjoy the shit they want to enjoy anymore?
Should make a pizza shop simulator
I really dislike this because it's just lack of originality. Instead of making an original RPG he tacks on Fnaf to ensure a fan base rather than take a risk on a new idea
I didn't know Scott worked at a milk factory
there even some that are actually excited for this and are currently speculating which characters will make the cut
there was a huge thread about fnaf and I asked them wtf. Then I had to read 3 pages of hate :(

I still don't know why/how fnaf is even a thing
how fucking dare you mock my fetish for robot foxes? i can jerk off to ANYTHING i want!
now let me read this little note on a computer about how the protagonist is actually a Cthulhu..

Same reason why my little pony is a thing I presume

I wouldn't be surprised if Scott had something like a prototype of Desolate Hope 2's combat system laying around and he decided to slap on the FNAF name so people would buy it.

A typical day at FP. :v:
I'm glad he's doing something new now.
Oh lord HERE COMES THE FUCKING FANFICTION.
I just don't understand how you'd buy an entire series that's been all about milking your money for cheap jump scares but if that's your thing, you worked for your money, spend how you see fit
I'm glad he's doing something new now.
New would imply doing something from Scratch, not taking some existing characters and just put them in different roles similar to the past games.
The only way I could see this working is if it was a shitty in-universe advergame for a last gen system like the N64.
I have some confidence because Scott has done RPG work before, but I'm with you all on how weird a cutsy rpg game based on a horror franchise is.
I'm going to wait for screenshots and gameplay footage before I judge.
But we already have Five Nights at Fuckboy's
Is this plugging the gap left behind now that Sonic is dead
so what about that locked box thing?
is he just gonna pull a "your imagination will fill the gaps of the story" thing?
