Hey I'm looking to buy some new headphones for around $50-$100. Either over-the-ear or in-ear if they are good quality. Any recommendations? This is kinda music related.
skullcandy
I have these: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/H2831ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0Ng&mco=MTk4NTk3NTI&s=topSellers Pricey, but well worth it.
skullcandy
hey man me 2 lets listen to some FILTHY DUBSTEP

OP, for good headphones around that budget I believe Grado SR60s would fit the bill (unless my impression of their price in the US is off)
You'd be better off asking head-fi than here. http://www.head-fi.org/ I'm scared by some of the replies so far to be honest.

They're overpriced, with muddy (decently strong) bass, shitty drivers. You can do MUCH better. Audio-Technica ATH-M50s cost less, have much better bass and sound in general. Not only did you suggest a terrible pair of headphones you went well out of the OPs range. OP, please refer to this thread or head-fi please. Sennheiser, Grado, or Shure. Sennheiser for over-ear headphones. Grado, I've never experienced myself, but I hear they make great headphones. Shure for in-ear monitors. I had a pair of Shures a couple years back and they were fucking wonderful. Incredibly well-defined, blocked out ALL NOISE around me, and they had great tone balance. Fairly deep bass, soaring highs, and a silky-smooth midrange.
Audio Technica makes great DJ-style headphones if that's the style you prefer. Grados are very nice as well, they start around $70 or so.

If anyone could review or recommend these or any other headphones in this price range that would be great.

Every single pair has broken, and they have all been different types of SkullCandies from their over-the-ears to the buds. I wouldn't trust anything from Monster either, especially considering their prices. Klipsch and Grado are reputable brands so those are safe. Sennheiser has excellent deals in the states on headphones. HD555's for $85 are amazing deal. I'm not sure about Maximo, check out head-fi.org or somewhere else where you can find some good reviews. Tips for buying headphones -Avoid 'style brands'. These include anything by SkullCandy, Anything by Monster (Dr. Dre is terrible), etc. -Stick to known reliable audio brands. Sennheiser, Audio-Techica, Grado, Klipsch, Shure. Do your research, Shure has great buds while AT and Senn have great over-ear. Grado is also quite well known and Klipsch is also well-respected. -Major problem with buying headphones is price. Pricing can vary widely on a variety of factors. Do not buy Beats by Dr. Dre that are within your range saying you like them fine. $240 Dr. Dre cans are the equivalent of sub-$80 cans by respectable brands. -If in doubt, ask a forum. There are plenty of respectable forums that can help you find what you need.
After a year's use... I have to say the drivers have definitely gotten more powerful and used to being played. I remember when I thought I would have preferred more bass out of these.. but now I would say the bass is definitely at the level it should be. Brilliant headphones. [editline]28th January 2011[/editline] All round great headphones for all styles of music, the stereo seperation is absolutely perfect.
:froggonk: WELL WORTH IT.
I owned a pair for about a year til the cable broke. I was a fool, judge me not :froggonk: To be fair after they broke I got my Denons.
I have some Sony MDR-XD100's, I've got no real experience in headphones but I'd reccomend them, they're cheap and work well.
I've narrowed it down to the Etymotic MC5, Grado iGi and Klipsch S4i. Which one of these is better? http://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Research-Noise-Isolating-Earphones/dp/B003S3RFIQ http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-S4i-Premium-Noise-Isolating-3-Button/dp/B00264GYMG http://www.amazon.com/Grado-iGi-In-Ear-Headphones/dp/B002QL1KRS
Seriously, for ~$50 or so take a look at the Audio Technica ATH PRO5-Ms. I've had them for 3 years and I absolutely love them.

[img_thumb]http://www.homepc.ru/upload/dkhifi/September/06_04.jpg[/img_thumb] £12'000 headphones
I posted those in the expensive tech thread. They're as good as it gets. Electrostatics, the model is called Orpheus. Damn sexy headphones, I'd kill to even listen. Only lacking area is the 'punchyness' of the bass apparently.
Limited to 300 pairs dude. No chance to ever get a listen :saddowns:
for £12000 everything should be 100% perfect
