Not sure what to feel here. I love pixar, but I don't like the Car's style too much.
there.
Thank you
Woah I read the title and tought it would be a parody on Pixar's worst movies and corporate meddling. Way to shut me up Disney.
Because Cars 2 wasn't enough What the fuck Pixar
That is some damn high quality animation. I had to second-guess myself at 0:23 whether it was real or not.

Meh, don't like how it' themed as Cars.
Also this trailer is from august... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLyTzIslEQk&feature=related EDIT: Not pixar, direct to DVD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planes_%28film%29 I thought Disney / Pixar weren't doing direct to DVD sequels. Welp let's hope the Pixar originals are still good... I don't see much hope for pixar.
There is no mention of Pixar anywhere. The only thing related is that it's set in the cars universe. Disney is hijacking the cars franchise probably, and thats a good thing since the cars movie series is probably at it's peak.
Spring 2013? as in this is just a teaser they made to see the feedback before they even bother with production of a year long film
Isn't pixar working on like 3 movies now? Also do we really need a cars spin off :\
Isn't pixar working on like 3 movies now? If you look closely, many of the their films will make references to the next film they intend to release. A specific example, the end credits of Ratatouille shows Wall-Es driving the garbage trucks.
Cars was pretty good. Cars 2 was pushing it. Planes has entered "what" territory.

There's tons of references to future and past pixar films in all of their movies.
I don't see how this could possibly be an interesting story
Disney Officially Announces PLANES, a Direct-to-DVD Spin-Off of Pixar’s CARS
I was pretty confused until I heard that pixar won't be involved in the production. Considering the other properties pixar has that would be more deserving of a sequel, Cars 2 was puzzling, but a 3rd full-length Cars related movie would be really messed up.
Movie is gonna be a bust.
Little plane with more courage than the other ones? This gives me a bit of a "Little Engine That Could" vibe... I really don't think I can look forward to this. Something tells me it's going to be extremely corny.
I want less movies about inanimate objects being alive and more movies like Mulan with actual human beings.
I didn't like Cars as much as the other movies

Before watching the trailer, i was thinking "oh god, pixar is getting really gimmicky" While watching the opening i thought "They're really milking the cars thing" When i saw the take offs and other scenes i thought "Well this may be gimmicky, but they can damn well still make it look cool." as it progressed i thought "Wow, they're getting really predictable, pixar, now huh? ANOTHER underdog wants to ride with the big boys story?" And then they tacked on the awesome "COOL" ending and actually left me amused. You're still holding on to to my attention, Pixar.
It's not Pixar doing the Planes
That looks really stupid.
