Awesome song to play! Solo wasn't perfect though.
Great job. Is that a seven-string?
yes
you and ur pick-noise
From what I can see, I say you are pretty good. But, try and make the actual output sound louder, so we could hear the sound more, not the pick noise.
Pretty messy, especially the solo. Need some work on rhythm.
You're proficient, even if the solo was a bit messy. But if you ask me it needs more feeling. Get into it more. Edit: Wait, so if I care about aspects of music other than the technical side, I'm dumb?
I couldn't really hear it, all I heard was clack clack clack clack clack from the pick.
I'd plug the output from the amp into your line in or mic input on your computer, and record directly through there. You did a really good job though, bad-ass pinch harmonics.
Do you primarily rake pick?
Rest of it was good. One question, if you knew the solo was badly done, why post it?! Then you know what you're going to hear off us. You know what you need to improve on so what do you want us to do? Say how awesome you are? Not going to happen unless it was perfect. Sorry, it's how it is. [editline]04:15PM[/editline] Also I'm dumb apparently.

It's not like he could have wanted feedback on the parts he thought weren't bad. Nah, it couldn't have been that. That's just absurd. :rolleye:
I couldn't really hear it, all I heard was clack clack clack clack clack from the pick.
I know, I know. If I plug it directly into my comp, it sounds even worse. Sound quality wise I mean. I don't have that good recording equipment, but I've been thinking of investing to it a little more.
I think the recording equipment is fine. If you aren't professional then the pick noise can easily be ignored.

turn off the background music so that we can hear you playing badly. also learn new picking techniques

Put on a Slipknot mask. Everyone will think you're cool. :buddy:
Nice cover, you should try something harder, I'm pretty sure you could take it on. Try this: http://www.911tabs.com/link/?5973511 ( Guitar Pro needed ) Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1FivvPQIUY If you do try it, the trick to the sweeps are the aligned hand formation, always keep formation if you do try it.
If he didn't mention that he thought the solo sucked, I don't know if anyone else would point it out. It wasn't really that bad. Pretty well done. Looks like it takes quite a deal of experience.
Yeah. Put on a Slipknot mask. Everyone will think you're cool. :buddy:
I lold. Or a buckethead mask. :buddy:
when will people learn not to play the original over the top of theirs
when will people learn not to play the original over the top of theirs
It's boring to watch someone just playing the guitar without the backing track.
no it's not plus you can actually hear THEIR input. otherwise it's just listening to the original song
If I record it's always my own stuff. I don't like how it sounds when you record over music. It's not even fun.
no it's not plus you can actually hear THEIR input. otherwise it's just listening to the original song
Well, in their defense, I think it depends on the instruments. If it's just vocals, then I think you kind of need the original playing in the back, because otherwise the vocals may sound strange without any instrumentation accompanying them. Though to be honest I've never heard someone record vocals without the original song playing in the background.
