WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday accused U.S. Representative Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, of leaking “confidential” information. The panel is conducting one of several investigations into whether Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election. Trump has repeatedly maintained there was no collusion between him and his campaign and Russia. “Adam (Schiff) leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!” Trump wrote in a post on Twitter. On Friday, the House intelligence panel released a memo that alleged that the FBI and the Justice Department were biased against Trump in part of their investigation. Trump said the memo vindicated him, but critics say it leaves out crucial context. Democrats have pushed to publish a rebuttal. Some Republican lawmakers have played down the significance of the memo and say the investigation by the special counsel, Robert Mueller, must continue.
Reuters.
So now he's just shit talking with no particular direction. Just as long as they're Democrats
So now he's just shit talking with no particular direction. Just as long as they're Democrats
He wants an actual purge of the government of any who might oppose him. These statements and rants are him trying to get support among the populace for this so if he does it, he'll have a wide body of supporters to protect him and justify what he has done. And at the same time those supporters will push their own legislators to support him and back a purge, helping to legitimize it whenever he might choose to finally carry it out. He's reaching the point where its about waiting for one big conflict between the DoJ and his administration to say they are trying to overthrow the government. Going after Trump himself would definitely trigger it, but I think he's looking at calling for a purge if the DoJ goes after others close enough like Trump Jr.
Trump can throw out all the baseless accusations he likes, even as the noose tightens around his flabby neck. He's a President of nothing, now. The vast majority of the nation laughs at his authority. And he's incriminated himself enough already that the rest of this investigation is practically a formality.
Pathetic words from a pathetic man whom only the wilfully blind and deaf would willingly believe any further. His time playing with government like a toy will come to an end if Mueller has anything to do about it.
He probably only made this tweet because he saw Nunes make the claim on Fox today. Given how frequently Nunes lies one should take these accusations with a mountain of salt.
Who cares what Trump says he is literally just a walking Fox News highlight reel at this point
Hate the leakers when they're Democrats and praise them when they're Republicans, lmao. Someone post those wikileak comments from the campaign trail
Who cares what Trump says he is literally just a walking Fox News highlight reel at this point
Jesus Christ, this made me realize that our president IS Fox News.
So house intel Democrats are 'leaking confidential information' despite Republicans being behind the Nunes memo - which specifically leaked confidential information. Meanwhile, Democrats at large are treasonous because they aren't giving Trump the applause he wants.
You’re up there, you’ve got half the room going totally crazy wild, they loved everything, they want to do something great for our country," Trump said. "And you have the other side even on positive news, really positive news like that, they were like death and un-American. Un-American. Somebody said treasonous. I mean, yeah, I guess, why not. Can we call that treason? Why not. I mean they certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much. But you look at that and it’s really very, very sad.
We're going down a dark hole very very quickly. Treason is now 'not loving your country very much' and more specifically 'not celebrating Trump' because "Why not". I'm sure there'll now be discussion on Fox News about 'What the President really meant was...'
Democrats at large are treasonous because they aren't giving Trump the applause he wants.
Chucklefuck should be glad they didn't just outright laugh in his worthless face.
Who cares what Trump says he is literally just a walking Fox News highlight reel at this point
Everyone should care because this man is president of one of the global superpowers. Although he seems hell bent on undoing that.
