In an unprecedented move, Nintendo will bring several unreleased Wii U games
to Best Buy stores during next month's E3 and let fans try them out."In the past, we've focused the E3 hands-on experience on those attending the event.
But this year, we're making E3 for the people," Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo
of America, said in a Friday morning Nintendo Direct video message. "And we want to
make sure you get the chance to try our games as well."
The games will be on display at approximately 100 Best Buy stores in the U.S. and Canada
during the week of E3, which kicks off on June 11 in Los Angeles. File-Aime promised "more
details in the coming weeks" about which games will be featured at Best Buy and which stores
will be participating.
It is going to be there E3 floor lineup, which SSB4 has been confirmed already to be one of them.

Now hold up for a second. We know we're at least getting a look at SSB4, but we don't know if we're even getting a trailer or anything else beyond screenshots. What is confirmed is stuff like Mario Kart 8 and the new 3D Mario game.

They already have confirmed a few months ago that there will be a playable demo at E3.

Do you have any sources about that? Last I heard there was nothing more confirmed than screenshots.

It was an brief mention a few Nintendo Directs ago.
Holy shit, consider my attention caught.
Maybe now I can try out Pikmin 3 before I get a Wii U.
Holy shit yes, super smash bros 4 playable demo?
I'm sad that we don't have any best buys around here now :(
just make sure you don't record a video of you playing the demo. don't steal from nintendo!
Amazing news. I really hope one of my nearby stores has the demo(s). It would be really great if Nintendo just set up a Wii U with every demo installed and let you choose which one you wanted to play.
Why....why can't everyone do this? It's beautiful.
I am crying tears.
Of course I wouldn't drive all the way to best buy just for this, but still imagine if certain E3 demo's were somehow available to the public during the conference. It would be the hypest shit.
Like it could be done through a streaming service kind of like onlive or something. Maybe I am too hopeful.

If this goes how I imagine it, we won't just be shenghai'd with whatever select footage the press has. If everyone can have access to these Best Buy booths across the nation, then who knows what people might record?
Maybe even a brawl over someone getting whooped at Mario Kart / Smash Bros. :v:
What's Nintendo? Never heard of them before.

They're a trading card company
Got my hopes up before I realised that Australia probably won't get anything like this.
Still a cool move, though.
I wonder if they'll send out an instructional video on how to set them up like they used to

Awww yis PLEASE be at the Best Buy I work at, we're literally one of the top ten highest grossing ones on the West Coast!
Only 100 stores in US and Canada
So basically... only like 1 out of 100 of us will probably get to play the demos :V
Not to mention the giant lines!
Why couldn't they do this before they closed all the UK stores down
