This is what "Dimmu Borgir - Gateways" sounds like without the band.
And I'll have to say it sounds awesome. Sounds kinda like the soundtrack of "God Of War"
I can't fing a working Youtube verison of the original song, if someone finds one please post it so people can compare.

Sounds kind of cool even though I'm not generally interested in metal at all. Usually the black metal I hear is just a clash of screeching distorted sound.
If you remove the black metal from symphonic black metal I don't see why you'd expect it to sound like anything other than this

Exactly, It's called symphonic for a reason
Dimmu used to be my favorite band, I need to get back into them
