It will include items with more than 20 grams of protein and less than 450 calories per serving, such as a burrito and a bowl, both served with a double portion of chicken or steak, according to BloombergBusinessweek.

Most "health-conscious" people I know are on the Paleo diet, and even if they're not I don't see why they would eat this shit. It doesn't matter if they make it 50% more healthy, it's still terrible for you.
Exactly. You shouldn't go into a fast food chain and order a salad.

How can anyone hate Taco Bell, it's delicious I'd take Taco Bell and exercise over some fad shit like paleo any day of the week
How can anyone hate Taco Bell, it's delicious I'd take Taco Bell and exercise over some fad shit like paleo any day of the week
It tastes like mush. Literally, every burrito I've had from tacky bell is filled with a past-like texture that somewhat resembles meat, cheese, and sour cream. If you honestly think that's "good", you need to sit down at a real mexican restaurant.
As long as they fuck with their Chili Cheese Burritos I'm okay with this.
Protip: Calories in/Calories out trumps the shit out of any retarded fad diet, all it takes is a little self control in your eating habits. I'm sure Taco Bell knows that "healthy menus" at a fast food chain are ridiculous, but it seems like they're doing it to cater to Taco Bell loyalists. I'll eat the shit out of some taco bell, but I'll pass on this.

I like them just as much as I enjoy Taco Bell's beef stuff like the chalupa/crunch wrap/doritos locos/etc. I apologize if my opinion bothered you.
Most "health-conscious" people I know are on the Paleo diet, and even if they're not I don't see why they would eat this shit. It doesn't matter if they make it 50% more healthy, it's still terrible for you.
The paleo diet, seriously? That joke "diet" program that means you eat nothing but a bunch of steak and nuts and shit because thats what the cavemen did (lets ignore the fact that cavemen were much more physically active than even most fitness-conscious people out there, and that they generally only lived to be 30-40 at most)? Nobody I know who is health conscious is seriously on that diet. Really any "diet" is bullshit. The most important thing you can do diet wise is always go for non refined/processed foods, meet your calorie needs for your level of activity (or under if you want to lose), and make sure to have your appropriate fill of proteins, vitamins, carbs, etc while limiting or completely eliminating stuff like excessive fats, sweets, fluff, etc. And ideally eat 6 small meals a day instead of 2-3 big ones. Boom, that's all there is to it and all the seriously knowledgeable health/fitness nuts I know do just that.
Funny, I was about to go to TacoBell right now. I just get two Quesodilla's or a 6 pack of soft tacos. Love me some 80% beef.
I'm curious, what benefits are there to eating 6 small meals over 2-3 large ones?
It keeps your metabolism working to digest food. If you just have a giant meal you are offloading TONS of carbs/protein/etc onto your body at once which tends to crash metabolism, encouraging your body to just store nutrients instead of use them, and if you eat to fullness it'll often cause you to be tired as well. Small meals however keep you digesting, and keeps your metabolism working throughout the day, and encourages your body to use nutrients as it gets them instead of just storing them. It's small in the end but every little bit helps. You don't have to do the "6 meals a day" thing to be fit and healthy but it can help you burn off calories more efficiently and help energy levels. But most importantly it helps control food cravings and over-indulging, which is the main thing that can cause you to just eat too much or the wrong stuff.
No one eating at Taco Bell is being health conscious, else they'd order the Salad. Might as well serve it up big
Like when it's 3am, and you haven't eaten since lunch and you think you can down a 12taco party pack by yourself and a XLG drink. And you attempt to finish it even though you stopped being hungry about 4 taco in. That's why you eat less, more often.
No one eating at Taco Bell is being health conscious, else they'd order the Salad. Might as well serve it up big
Whenever I eat salads at fast food joints I feel like i'm just eating water.
Tacobell has a bad reputation for not having much meat in their taco's... Cutting out the word meat is just being more honest with advertising.
There was a brief period of my life in which my state had Taco Bell. I remember it as being a mushy mess of fillings and the cheese as near a liquid as cheese can be. I miss it terribly.
Taco Bell is okay, but yeah nothing beats authentic Mexican food. I go by this one place to order a giant ass carne asada burrito that tastes like edible happiness.
There was a brief period of my life in which my state had Taco Bell. I remember it as being a mushy mess of fillings and the cheese as near a liquid as cheese can be. I miss it terribly.
Come to Ohio, USA, our Taco Bell is pretty good.
Taco Bell is okay, but yeah nothing beats authentic Mexican food. I go by this one place to order a giant ass carne asada burrito that tastes like edible happiness.
Carne Asada is the god of authentic mexican food, holy shit.
Taco Bell is Chipotle for the poor and Irish.
If you want "healthy" fast food then go to in-and-out burger
But meat is healthy.
How can anyone hate Taco Bell, it's delicious I'd take Taco Bell and exercise over some fad shit like paleo any day of the week
Eating bad food and then exercising won't nullify the fact that it's bad. Fad diets are bullshit as well. It's better to eat healthy as often as possible and exercise frequently. Eating some fast food once in a while won't hurt you but eating it often and thinking that exercise will take off the negative effects from it is not a good idea. Not implying that you don't eat healthily though, just putting this out there. Also Taco Bell is pretty damn bad, everything tastes like it was frozen and then reheated in a microwave. There are many authentic Mexican restaurants around where I live though so I'm fairly spoiled.
Taco Bell is great if you're cheap/poor
How can anyone hate Taco Bell, it's delicious I'd take Taco Bell and exercise over some fad shit like paleo any day of the week
taco bell tastes like garbage. eat real mexican food
I don't know why fat in general though has this massive stigma to it All fat does is increase cholesterol levels, which is bad if you have a ton of it all the time but otherwise completely harmless. Even saturated fats which increase bad cholesterol aren't really that bad within a certain amount every now and then. And if you have a lot of non-saturated fats then that's even better because it increases good cholesterol (which breaks up bad cholesterol). Of course cholesterol is terrible for you if you have too much as that's what leads to shit like heart attacks, clogged arteries, etc. But it's no different than sugar or other starches (like breads or potatoes) in that if you don't have it all the time or way too much then it might as well be harmless, if not beneficial. That said one item from taco bell is likely to have enough fat in it to be more than enough of your daily fill of fats, which is why I'd only eat there once in awhile instead of every day or a whole bunch in one day.
How can anyone hate Taco Bell, it's delicious I'd take Taco Bell and exercise over some fad shit like paleo any day of the week
Taco Bell crunchwrap for life. I prefer Chipotle Mexican Grill though, get the burrito bowl and ask for extra meat. And maybe a water cup.
Carne Asada is the god of authentic mexican food, holy shit.
I remember when taco bell was this cheep and people didn't know how to describe meat besides 'sea food', beef, poultry, and pork. aw i almost thought this was because of some new FDA regulation making it illegal to refer to grade E beef as meat and requiring it to be refereed to as "meeat"
