Dennis Rodman's latest statements on Kim Jong-Un are making waves, as the controversial former NBA star says the North Korean dictator did not have his uncle executed, as was reported last year.
"You could say anything here about North Korea and people would believe it," Rodman told DuJour managzine. "The last time I went there, when they said they killed his girlfriend, they killed his uncle, they just fed him to the dogs... They were standing right behind me."
State media reported that Jang Song-Thaek was arrested for treason, tried and executed in December. But Rodman repeated: "He was standing right there."
lol sure
I wonder if the koreans paid him or if he's just insane.
He's insane.
He has no reason to lie and he did go over there, so if there's anyone to believe it would be him.
It would not surprise me in the least that the story about the uncle is a hoax considering all the other shit going around about Asian countries (ex).
Of course he didn't. He got someone else to do it.
It's like they're best buddies now :')

Rodman acted way too friendly to Kim, so I don't believe shit he says, I just watched VICE and saw him talk and it's literally just um, "Wow um, is this dude one of those brainwashed idiots? Really? You're honored to be here? You're an idiot"
a ton of shit could be a lie, but then again, North Korea doesn't need to be lied about, we know for a fact the country is an endless shithole, making things up won't change the fact that it is
Dennis must have been drunk AND mixed up Kim's uncle with some random bloke in attendance. Not all Asians look alike is what I really want to say.
I wonder if the koreans paid him or if he's just insane.
North Korean Monopoly money must have alot of Value in the states.
Maybe they just all look the same to him and he mistook one of them for his uncle.
I firmly believe that Rodman is a secret genius with his own international agenda. Only a perfect idiot can befriend a dictator.
North Korean Monopoly money must have alot of Value in the states.
Actually, they mass produce very high quality counterfeit U.S. currency. Like, astonishingly good.
Comrade Rodman once again dropping the truth bombs

Except he's insane and will defend just about anything Kim Jong Un tells him, so there is plenty of reason to not believe him.
I wonder if the koreans paid him or if he's just insane.
Why would they pay him to say this when their own state media claims that the uncle was killed. It's just Rodman being crazy.
Rodman is Kim's new emissary

who needs that when gold is easier to come by on a state budget
oh rodman what did they do to you over there
didn't his uncle get killed off AFTER Rodmen visited?
that's like seeing a dead body and going "no he's alive I just saw him alive last week!"
if that's true then he has 0 perception of the time space continuum
oh rodman what did they do to you over there
Oh my God guys, leave Rodman alone! He's a genius and you all know it! Rodman speaks truth! Stop hassling Denny!

He has no reason to lie other than the fact that he is treated as a god amongs the citizens of NK.
But seriously why has Rodman been doing this? Like what can possibly be the reason?
It was pretty amusing when Rodman first became friends with Kim Jong-un, but now it's just getting really creepy.
But seriously why has Rodman been doing this? Like what can possibly be the reason?
Maybe he's genuinely defending his friend?

Rodman has never been quite all there, and has been the subject of a lot of criticism because of how 'quirky' he is. I think he's always been treated quite poorly by his peers, despite his celebrity status, and probably lacks people in his life that give him real respect.
He came to North Korea and Kim Jong-Un gives him the preferential treatment, kindness and respect that any human being would want. I guess maybe hes fallen victim to becoming attached because of this. He probably gets a sense of genuine friendship and comradery that people in America didn't give him.
Rodman is just a man with a lot of personal issues, this has been known for a long time. It's not surprising that he's defensive, probably because the alternative of having to accept that his 'friend' is a ruthless, maniacal dictator (which is obvious to everyone else) is a terrifying conclusion for him to accept.
Maybe he's genuinely defending his friend?
It's honestly probably just this innocent. Just a sincere concern for someone he sees as a close friend, unable to discern all the other glaring flaws and underlying issues behind all of it.
Maybe all those North Koreans just look the same to Rodman. Bodyguard, uncle, girlfriend... all the same short Asian with the same haircut.
I love how ludicrous it is that I live in a world where an American basketball player and a horrible dictator are besties.
I'd kill for a sitcom of these two.

Rod & Kim
They would totally have an episode about this where Rodman tries to convince everyone Kim's uncle is alive by parading the body around Weekend At Bernie's style.
classic case of stockholm syndrome.
