Humble Indie Bundle, this time without faith in humanity

Everybody knows about the Humble Indie Bundle, right? You get 5 games for a price you choose yourself... (0.001 dollars do not count, cheap bastards).
And the money they get goes to charity. But yet, there's been a whole lot of pirating going on.
Yes. The people pirate the bundle instead of just the games they like, by some reason.
Quoted from a joystiq article:
"Perhaps you've heard of (or purchased!) the Humble Indie Bundle -- a set of five DRM-free indie games, which you can choose your own price for, the entirety of which goes to two completely deserving charities. Despite the bundle's altruism and affordability, Wolfire Games reports that over one quarter of the total downloads of the package were pirated. You read that right -- a grip of people have stolen the choose-your-own-price indie-bundle-for-charity. Talk about sticking it to The Man.
This fraction of creeps shouldn't cheapen the fact that the bundle's already brought in $716,944 for the five games, as well as the Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, but it's still pretty disheartening. If you'll excuse us, we need to go watch Happy-Go-Lucky or perhaps a few episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition until we regain our faith in humanity."

Discuss.
How were they pirated? By distributing the download links?
That is not mentioned, but I'd guess that would be it. Or pirate bay. Who knows.
those bastards
You give your dl link to everyone
You give your dl link to everyone
So you were the one
Who the fuck cares? It was only a matter of time until it happened.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Also, they should've just blocked the download for individual files once you've downloaded them.
Who the fuck cares? It was only a matter of time until it happened.
It's charity. People tend to care about charity.
Holy shit guys, We're only $100,000 from the source code. :O

They want you to be able to download them to any and every computer that's yours.
Holy shit guys, We're only $100,000 from the source code. :O
Huh?
They want you to be able to download them to any and every computer that's yours.

You'd still be able to copy it around as you wish via E-mail or a thumb drive.

But instead I can go on web and download it there
So you were the one
No, but I assume that it's what happened.
Wow! DRM doesn't cause pirating! WHAT A SHOCK.
Also 3 hours 40 minutes away and 60K away from source codes
People pirating games?! Argh, The gall! :arghfist::saddowns:
Here is a pirate for example:

At any rate, it's 50k cash left. Let's hope for the best.
It was meant for charity?
Huh. I thought the charity thing was there to be there. For people to feel the illusion of doing a good thing by clicking it. I gave all the money to the developers for all 6 times i bought it.

They sure do deserve it more, though.
They could've just payed 1$. Or 0.5$ if they were really cheap.

No they mean people who get the game without paying any money at all, from a warez site.
How were they pirated? By distributing the download links?
Someone uploaded them to a warez site obviously.
Eh, I didnt buy mine I got it as a gift from someone who wasnt cheap and spent more than 0.01

I like how you have the nerve to imply other people are cheap for buying it for 1 penny yet you are so cheap that you had someone you know gift it to you.
... lame.
I still salute those who paid $1k for these, Godspeed good anonymous. Feed those poor developers :patriot:
I think a lot of people bought the bundle and then shared with their friends.
Or maybe this is just a marketing scheme to make us buy more....MOAR!
25k left
Awesome
0 secs left and still a bit left.
You can still donate. They lied with the timer :/
I bought it.

It's still over an hour for me
Honestly they needed to add protection for the download links.
