in the search for his honor, the samurai warrior (and his scotsman friend) punted a couple dozen knights and vikings into pits, spikes, fire and geysers none were the wiser
I love this guy's videos
that intro is 10/10
holy shit the samurai jack references killed me, this guy makes amazing videos
Honor is for suckas, and suckas get tossed into the geysers of infinite death.
Optimal honorable battles
This is fuckin hilarious, but what I don't understand is, why are people getting so mad? Is there like some actual honor system in the game, or are they just pissed that these guys are destroying them?

Additionally, the game has very strange bouts of lag and input delay, as well as a very nebulous and confusing way of handling who gets a grapple first. Essentially, its cheese to the max and countering it is practically RNG.

People bought this anyway, because they like marketing more than quality. You kinda deserve it if you bought this.
The game is really fun, except for shit like this. This is one of those things that is fun as shit to do but only because it's so retarded. I don't know what's worse, being pushed off ledges or having an assassin with the long reach poison you and just run away until you die. Also the combat system just feels weird for 4v4s, if anything i'll probably stick to 2v2s and duels when i get this game because fighting 2 people at once is down to luck and is not fun at all.

Just so people are aware its really not that difficult to counter guard breaking its just that most players are completely knew and don't know what to do or how to properly counter it. A guard break does not apply if your mid attack and if your not attacking that means you should be paying close attention to your opponent for any signs of attack. It doesn't take much to get used to countering a guard break. The only real excuse you have is when your fighting 2v1 like in the above video as you wont be able to easily prevent a guard break from a second player to your side. Especially if it is a Raider or Kensei. The biggest issue is the connectivity issues people experience although I only encountered the issue once during the beta myself. I'm aware I am in the minority though for not experiencing it.

Most people then just go in for a straight fight since it takes too much effort to try to get you back in position for a knock off. In dominion sometimes you can't control things, like a 4 raider team, but that generally ends up funnier more than infuriating, especially if you still keep a mind to your surroundings. [editline]13th February 2017[/editline] I'm not sure if some of my blocks were missed because of connectivity, but I know it can get kind of annoying when hosts keep leaving. It only takes like 10 seconds at most to resume but it breaks the flow of the game when it happens.
For real, this is why throwing people into pits is so funny. All of you get so mad and blame it on being a "cheese" move. It fucking isn't. If you weren't stupid enough to practically ask for it by standing near a ledge, it wouldn't happen. Also, if you didn't have the reaction of an infant, you can easily counter guard breaks. Easiest way to not get thrown off a ledge? Stand far away. If you are near a ledge, keep ready for that guard break, cause chances are it'll happen.

I don't think connections get faster than p2p. If it was p2s2p it just makes it laggier, albeit less connection stutters. But if it's p2p with one of the players HOSTING the game, then I see what you're getting at.
dont stand next to pits/cliffs then
Ledges in this game are like spiders, wherever you go there is always one within 5m of you.

I get that your point is valid but there's a limit to how valid it really is.

This setup has a myriad of issues with reliability, consistency and fairness between the host and other players. I get that your point is valid but there's a limit to how valid it really is.
p2p is more of an issue the more importance a game places on timing and competition. Example, if no mans sky had coop multiplayer and it was peer to peer nobody would care, but in a competitive melee fighting game i consider it to be unacceptable because it undermines the main purpose of the game. Obviously one of the main issues with p2p hosting is that experiences vary drastically depending on who ends up being host, and these effects are the same in every game that uses the technology so whether the beta itself had any obvious hosting related issues is somewhat irrelevant.
Is yung maestro's picture on youtube a character from a game or is it just made up? It looks pretty damn cool and I wanna see more of it but I dunno whether it's just a personal character of his he got drawn up.

I've watched his other video, where he counter guard breaks after he gets guard breaked? What the hell this never worked for me, is it different for other characters? I was "maining" (if you can call that for 2-3 days) Orochi, so that must be why, goddamit.

I have realized that counter guard breaks must be done AFTER you've been guard-break'd, not before. I thought you had to preemptively guard-break a person who does it on you. I feel so stupid, wow.
The fuck, how did you even think it was before a guard break? You'd have to be some clairvoyant to predict that. just lol at your response. Everyone who calls guard breaks OP just have no idea how to properly counter it. Attacks / counter guard break keep it relatively easy to stop.

It tripped me up for like 15 minutes before I looked it up because I kept guard breaking way too soon.

So the tutorial that i've based my gameplay upon was wrong? Well no wonder guard breaks are fucked.
This intro is amazing... Unfortunately it also reminded me Mako Iwamatsu is dead.
wait are you fucking for real? So the tutorial that i've based my gameplay upon was wrong? Well no wonder guard breaks are fucked.
Wait what do you mean? They changed it from the beta so it requires you to do it right when they hit you with the guardbreak, rather than before when you'd just press it when the icon showed. They forgot to edit the text in the tutorial but if you could pull it off there you'd be able to do the same online.
