Quickly, the rowdy crowd grew restless and began throwing mud onto the stage. In protest, lead vocalist Donita Sparks [b]removed her tampon on-stage and threw it into the crowd yelling "Eat my used tampon, fuckers!"[/b]. Sparks has remained unapologetic about the incident. This has been referred to as one of the "most unsanitary pieces of rock memorabilia in history".[/release]

Shonen Knife is some great Japanese grunge.
Vivian Girls is nice lo-fi indie rock.
Nisennenmondai is Japanese noise rock, kinda boring though.
Goddess In The Morning is Japanese dream-folk that is really pretty.
Cherri Bomb is decent. Hard rock/rock, nothing spectacular really, but decent stuff.
