I can definitely understand the panic and fear he's in but how exactly would the wombat have done him in? It's not a rock or a mudslide that is permanently there! the wombat is only immoveable for as long as he himself wants to, and who wants to sit in a tunnel waiting for some human to die?

it ain't easy being rational in a situation like that but all he really had to do was to wait it out.
