Has anybody else seen Luis Buñuel's 1974 surrealist classic, The Phantom of Liberty? I had to watch it in Film Studies for our World Cinema unit, and it's one of the most fucked-up, yet ingenious films I have ever seen. Essentially, there is no middle, beginning or end. It is a series of loosely connected stories where the baton is passed on from a minor character in one scene, who in the next scene, is the main character. The quirkiness of it all, along with the strange but powerful messages it shows, has really had me wanting more. Anybody else's thoughts who's seen it?
