Kinda shows society still has a long way to go in terms of racial equality, even if much of the racism is subconscious.

I swear when I grew up it was in a mostly black school and it sucked balls. Interesting report though. It has really opened my eyes.

The reason why it is significant is because they are considering placing more importance on teacher assessment than these external assessments, which will obviously screw a lot of kids over if this is the case. Some people were assessing my school, and one of them asked my sister where we were hiding all the blacks and Mexicans. :colbert:

I am black and I can fucking vouch for this shit. On multiple occasions, I'm fucking getting lower grades then others for the exact same work as others.

That's ridiculous, I can't even believe that. I bet you that happens a lot at our school considering their is about 50 compared to the 2500 white people.

I know it happens at my school, as there is only about 100 white people out of like 2000 people(might be more people).

There is no racial discrimination in my school because teachers don't actually grade papers and we're all white people.

If they've been socialised into subconciously discriminating then it isn't really their fault.

I suppose so. I guess it is more like they aren't living up to the expectations of their jobs. Also, most teachers I know are good at what they teach but are absolutely durrific in anything else.
