Watching Australian parliament proceedings is pretty close to this, sad to say, I'm stuck on the set of Planet of The Apes. People seem to think we are so more advanced and better off since the 20th century, technologies changed and few morales have shifted here and there but that's about it really. Overall however we still have greed and money and so long as we don't have some kind of massive cultural revolution we'll continue to breed bad eggs and have a system of people pouting chests to be top dog. The thing is that our current president is a bandit. And his party too. We have almost 100% corrupted government, destroying of the factories and so on. But dumb-ass old pensioners are voting for them because "THEY GAVE US 5 MORE DOLLARS TO OUR PENSION! THEY ALSO MADE CARROT, SUGAR AND POTATE CHEAPER!", but everything is super-expencive. Our current government also killed many private businesses. :v:

In addition to the previous Ukrainian poster: nepotism is rampant among our administrative ranks, as these are positions that allow gaining insane amounts of money through bribes and abuse of power; this allowed a lot of people from remote, rural regions to enter governmental positions and the trend continues to grow, as more and more people want to secure the future of their relatives and close friends at the expense of the entire fucking country. Essentially, a lot of the people there are white trash and celebrities pulling a publicity stunt. In many ways, Ukrainian government is much like the USA one from "Idiocracy."
