In an exclusive interview with NBC News' "Meet the Press," Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., said he does not believe Donald Trump is a "legitimate president," citing Russian interference in last year's election.
Asked whether he would try to forge a relationship with the president-elect, Lewis said that he believes in forgiveness, but added, "it's going to be very difficult. I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president."
Well thats just silly. Talk about a rude awakening next week.
Too little too late?
kind of pointless to say.
Trump is a legitimate President according to the American system. But as I've mentioned before, the Electoral College system is stupid in general.
What an idiot. He is legitimately elected. It's not like he is Assad or some shit who slaughtered civilians to assert his authority.
betting on a trump resignation before 2019
The reality now is that saying things like this will surely get you on Glorious Leader Trump's naughty list. He can expect a personalized twitter insult and boycott soon from the world's oldest toddler.

That's probably the only thing you can count on this worthless slug to do consistently. He makes a better bratty teenage girl than a businessman or politician that's for sure.

I can see the title for the eventual Trump biographical movie now: The Great Complainer.

I think he's talking metaphorically, not litterally checked off all the boxes legitimate. Trump has so far acted as if he's going to be the president of the 50 million that voted for him, not the 310 million in this country, and anybody that doesn't like it, well he won so you gotta get behind him.
Its the mentality that he's approaching the presidency that has people pissed off

Yeah, only indirectly by getting 30 million people off medical insurance and also ruin the economy.

This is going to be the next four years. Anytime someone hurts his feelings, he cries about it on Twitter.

Truly,
Republicans; the ones actually always playing the victim card.
"Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to......mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk — no action or results. Sad!" Trump wrote in two tweets Saturday morning.
"All talk no action" is insulting considering Lewis' past.

He is legitimately elected. A foreign regime crippled the ability of his opponent and her organization to succeed. Individuals within his campaign had access to agents of that foreign regime. There is speculation that the foreign regime may have compromising intelligence on our legitimately elected president. His cabinet is filled, as was his campaign, with people with significant financial ties to this foreign regime. He himself has incredible financial investments in the country.
He is legitimately elected. Nevermind the fact that he had the worst loss in the popular vote in American history. Nevermind the fact that he won the electoral college by the 43rd largest margin, which is to say the 7th smallest margin. Nevermind the fact that he denigrated Muslims, women, blacks, Hispanics, immigrants, the LGBT+ community, Democrats, and moderate Republicans. Nevermind the fact that he wasn't willing to unilaterally condemn racists who supported him, like David Duke, the KKK, and Neo-Nazis.
He is legitimately elected. A president elect who goes on tweetstorms in his gold-plated bathroom at 6 am, almost every morning for the past 6 weeks, was duly elected. A president elect who enjoys record unpopularity and abysmal approval ratings amongst all Americans, was fairly elected. A president elect, who has yet to act in his adult life like a president elect, was righteously elected.

I applaud John Lewis, a black man who played a vital role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's, for refusing to be scared into silence by Trump and his army of rabid supporters and apathetic apologists and Mary Mary Quite-Contraries and Devil's Advocates. John Lewis understands the dangerous power of silence and complacency. Growing up in 1950's-60's America as a black man will teach you that lesson.
Do not play the fool, you are smarter than that.
Do not be silent, for the lives and livelihoods of all Americans are more important than Donald John Trump.

Well thats awkward.

Not to mention that MLK Day is this Monday.
Probably a less than opportune time to attack the biggest civil rights leader alive.

just makes it even dumber that any Bernie fans can support this lying cheeto
I acknowledge Trump as the president, but I don't consider him a legitimate president either

Bernie fans that voted for Trump must not have given a shit about Bernie's message, only his anti-establishment beliefs, which Trump dropped as soon as he won anyway.
This is awesome
Being a living exposition of the Dunning Kruger effect is "awesome"?
This short bus of a nation has successfully elected a president who has refuted every criticism thrown his way through Ad-Hominem.
This is awesome
Awesome because Trump is a joke or awesome because you genuinely find this petty shit laudable?
Trump can get fucked.
