He has a job he has to go to. And if he was in every video the novelty would wear off fast.
Yes yes yes a million times yes.
Fucking love Monster Hunter.

Do you think before posting?
That was a pretty sub-par video.
I lost it when that guy just started to cook in the middle of the battle.
Those weapons are absurd.
Criken is P bad at the game from the looks of things
Needs to learn to dodge
I need to get this game

Well I ordered a Wii U the other day as I saw a basic model for cheap so I ordered a hard drive and a few games for it. Sadly, I didn't think to order MH3
He is probably making more as we speak, at least playing the game.
I like his chainsaw buster sword.
For those who watched this and found the game interesting but don't have a Wii U or such, just note that Monster Hunter Online is in development for PC but apparently so far China exclusive.... hopefully that might change though.
This looks just as boring as the one I tried out on the psp. I don't understand the appeal of these games other then an addictive grind similar to WoW.

Because you get to kill huge-ass monsters? Generally by yourself to boot, so it feels even more ridiculous.
I could not get into the combat in Monster Hunter. In dark souls the weapons work in a simple, easy to understand way. Monster Hunter is so fucking heavy on the RPG elements, I can never figure out if I'm doing something wrong.
When I hear about a game where you get to kill "huge ass monsters" I think more about a game like Shadow of the Colossus. The combat in Monster Hunter makes no goddamn sense. Half the time I play is spent attacking the fucking air because you can't turn during a combo and the monster's moved out of the way.
There might just be something I'm missing, but Demon's/Dark souls had combat that made way more fucking sense.

Demon Souls borrowed elements from monster hunter ya know. And MHs combat works way smoother than dark souls in the context of huge monsters. And MH is pretty light on RPG elements. Its literally fight monster, get parts, make weapon, fight monster.
All the complaints about monster hunter read like someones hasn't really tried it, and was just a guy who picked it up for 10 minutes, got shat on, and threw his controller across the room in a fit.
The answer is to get good.

You know, I thought that too until I bought it because of the hype and joy in /MHG/ threads.
And then I sunk 500+ hours into it and suck a group of friends into it was well. Its an amazing, challenging, fun and rewarding game and you should try it.
For about 2 years, Monster Hunter was all I played on my PSP
I still didn't even get to Hunter Rank 2 :v:

Monster Hunter 3 is also available on 3DS and it is cross compatible with the Wii U version. The only real difference between the Wii U and 3DS versions is resolution and lack of Wi-Fi multiplayer.
I've always wondered if the gravity on RPG planets is weaker. It might provide context as to why people can hold massive weapons, or creatures just grow to massive heights.
Or it could just be that having really big weapons and beating the tar out of giant monsters is really fun (because it is).

It's Monster Hunter, they're SUPPOSED to be absurd. That's the beauty of it.
When I tried the 3DS Monster Hunter demo, when I selected longsword, I didn't want a three metre long sword as thick as my body.

Dual Blades are what you're looking for.

You clearly didn't know what Monster Hunter was then.
Monster Hunter
Obviously there are gonna be exaggerated weapons.
