Personally I didn't have any problems as I was leveling with a friend all the way. I understand why some people has complained about the alliance and horde getting mixed together when questing. This is a wrong approach imo, I've heard about many people getting put hours back because of ganking. I thought the alliance on my server were specially aggressive, alot of them were attacking people for no reason.

Deal with it, if you don't want to be attacked while leveling go play on a PVE server. It's really that simple.
"fucking carebear pve'ers l2p noob babies" "WTF blizzard stop letting me get killed when I try to quest this is IRRITATING wow blizard this game suclk".........

It's that simple, you agree to that when you pick a pvp server as you said yourself.
It's only...five levels...
One of the reasons I stopped playing WoW.
One of the reasons I stopped playing WoW.
Because you joined a PvP server when you could have easily joined a PvE server?
Because you joined a PvP server when you could have easily joined a PvE server?
That, and feeling a slight nausea when grinding. I got the same when I played Diablo 2 for 3 years.
I haven't grinded in WoW for a long time, you get enough gold while leveling in cataclysm to last you forever. The quests are all far less grindy.
ganking is only problem when you gank gray, since you get shit.Anyways, there should be a location-quest-rout-tracking ability/option...when you are doing a specific quest in that specific location, then that would read "pve" and you'd have the "god mode" against other players. Anyways no pvp has stopped me from getting stuff done,it's actually good. When you quest you see an intruder...bang his sorry ass is in the grave, ofc sometimes it's my ass too, world pvp is much more rewarding (morally, bigger burst of adrenaline)than those pvp battlefields or whatever.

In the whole time I leveled from 80-85, almost all the alliance/horde pretty much just got along. I'd see a lot of the alliance and they'd target me and I'd target them, but I think we'd both be waiting for one of us to attack each other, and when we didn't, we just continued on with what we were doing. There was the occasional battle when somebody would attack me, but it happened so little that when it did happen it was more of a fun little battle that I was not expecting.
Yeah, nobody seems to attack anybody. You get the occasional person that MIGHT gank you. But the majority just ignore you or even help you out
In these 5 lvls I had no problem at all. May be becuase there are more horde than Alliance but I did only get killed a few times bu overpowered feral druids.
A game where leveling is a goal is not a game for me at all. I fail to see any fun in it at all. I want a game based on content.
