Bernie and Donald are already competing for voters
A Voter Torn Between Trump and Sanders? There's a Script for That
Both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have said they hope to face the other in a general election, but they already are in New Hampshire.
In a battle for independents who are disgruntled with the current political system, the campaigns are training volunteers to argue their side in a two-person contest across party lines.
http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2016-02-09/trump-and-sanders-are-already-running-against-each-other
The two New Hampshire winners understand what many people still don't: they have to compete for the same disaffected and independent voters. While both candidates have broadish coalitions of support, they both do well with white men and with those who do not feel at home with the two party system.
This is not entirely relevant in many states with closed primaries, but counts in places like New Hampshire, that allow independents to vote in Primaries.
I personally think this explains a lot of the behavior of Bernie Bros/Bots, they could have been, and could still switch to, Donald Trump. Vice versa for whatever we call the fuck-crazy online Donald supporters.
Both Bernie and Trump are anti current establishment. I would much rather have them fight it out than have it be Hillary and Bush.

Space Marines?
Bernie Bros? They don't exist in the way you think they do.

I call them trumpeters.
Bernie Bros? They don't exist in the way you think they do.
I'm sure they are only a small part of Bernie's base, but they definitely exist to some extent.

Trumplings vs Sandersons
Either way family guy hit the nail on the head on describing undecided/torn voters. So far Trump has already successfully used this tactic and completely destroyed Cruz in the Republican debates.

fucking how
trump is the establishment
I'm sure they are only a small part of Bernie's base, but they definitely exist to some extent.
Oh sure, but they're definitely a minority, the media drums them up, especially pro-Hillary publications. In 2008 they were called Obama Boys, now they're Bernie Bros, it's just biased websites trying to discredit the opposition through smear tactics and create an over-exaggerated controversy.

Trump is a businessman, not a politician, and is campaigning on his own funds. Regardless of what he intends to do in office, the way he is running his campaign in funding and without a speech filter or teleprompter is unprecedented as far as I know. He's already stirring change in the system just in his campaign.
Bernie is getting funds differently and in a way its more representative where you should be supported by your constituents, not the wealthy class. But other than that, his campaign is rather traditional and he has a history as a politician.
As long as the nominees are Trump/Sanders I would be fine with either winning office. The political system needs a breathe of fresh air; I can guarantee you Trump would be a big change (good or bad can only be revealed with time), and Sanders is honestly the best kind of politician I've seen in a while but you know how politicians work.

In what way? He's an extreme political outlier who consistently expresses his contempt for the establishment and who has made a complete fool out of the classic American two-party system since day one. Just because he's a rich businessman doesn't mean he's not disruptive to the political establishment in America.

Trump is the truest representation of corporatism corrupting the government process at it's worse.

True, the discourse has been exaggerated on both sides. Nearly everyone is talking about Bernie Bros being a huge part of his campaign (to the point that he dismissed them in an interview) while Glen Greenwald and Jacobin are insisting they don't exist.
The truth is more nuanced. An exit poll from tonight says that 68% of Bernie supporters would be fine with Hillary as the nominee while 78% of Hillary supporters would support Bernie as a nominee. That is quite the difference! I'd imagine those who don't want Bernie are anti-socialist. I would guess a part of the difference between those two numbers may be due to Bernie Bros (my personal definition of this is guys who like Bernie but use Republican inspired attacks against Hillary).

No, what they call "establishment" candidates are Bush, Rubio, Christie, and Kasich. Cruz and Trump are far right fringe candidates.

BTW, both bernie and trump won new hampshire.

That discrepancy is far more likely to be due to the reason why people are supporting Bernie in the first place. His campaign stages the entire political establishment as the enemy, not just the Republicans. Hillary falls squarely within his sights. People who support Bernie are going to be far less likely to support someone who's essentially the antithesis of his campaign if he doesn't get the nomination. Obviously many people don't see Hillary as that bad or are simply willing to vote for the lesser of two evils come the general election. But there are likely to be many who would refuse to vote for someone like Hillary Clinton out of principle.

Not politically. He isn't back by other mega corporations and isn't in line to conform to normal political tactics. He speaks his mind no matter what and doesn't mind offending.
Started reading into American elections just a while ago & goddamn, if Trump wins I want to leave this planet.

I don't get that whole "he speaks his mind" crap, he doesn't believe half the shit he says and the mark of a good leader is knowing what to say at the right time, not whatever is rattling around in your head.
Shame neither of them can pronounce the word huge.

people who pull the "he speaks his mind" card are too swept up in the illusion of made-for-TV elections
trump is pure hollywood, the dude's an actor who spouts off rhetoric in a non-legalese tone that appeals to crotchety reactionaries
it seems to idiots like he speaks his mind because his speeches are written to purvey the sense that he's speaking his mind

He is a genius at manipulating the media and public opinion. If elected, things will change. In a chaotic and unpredictable sort of way.

And who better to bring jobs back from over seas as well as fix the economy and budget than a business man who is very successful.
I can tell you who isn't right for the job, Bernie.

The very people who moved the jobs overseas? Who says Trump doesn't still have a vested interests in businesses and his business friends? Why make life harder for them?
