She does believe however that many who witnessed the event didn't take it seriously.

I was there yesterday when he posted that thread. I obviously thought he was trolling, like 99% of the posters in the thread, so I closed it and didn't think of it further. Then a few hours later I saw a whole bunch of threads popping up about "The suicide guy". I checked the thread again and saw pictures of his his lifeless face, and immediately felt bad :x
There's an important lesson to be learned by this; to not encourage shit like that just because you think they're trolling. If those people hadn't encouraged him to suicide, but instead tried to talk him out of it, he might still be alive. This could happen in Facepunch as well.

Suicide should never be encouraged, even when you think the person won't do it. You never know what tips the balance in someones head. If you don't believe it might happen, just go away and don't post.

Then he gave the FTP link that the images were uploaded too, and I felt this incredibly bad feeling in my stomach.

I feel much worse for the Mum. She's not only had to go through 21 years of having a kid with aspegers and autism, but raising him on her own. She must feel as if she's done something wrong because of what he's done, when none of it would be her fault.

I've become thoroughly desensitised to shit like this. Missed this one, but I've seen them before and I'll probably see them again. Show me a kitten in the rain and I'll tear up, show me a guy hanging himself and I'll grab a bag of chips.

i remember some people convinced a guy to overdose on pills on his webcam like a yaer ago and got in shit from the police for helping him commit suicide. stay out of this kind of shit.

I live in these conditions. It's very easy to be depressed, suicidal and regret almost every decision you've made in your life. It's so lonely and to get up to the level of skills to just be a jerk, I have to go through sessions of therapy and counseling which I still haven't made it to.
Heard of this yesterday afternoon.

It's hard to explain, but it's easier to be a bully and a jerk than it is to defend yourself and live a good life with social interaction. I still have to figure out why I need friends.

To those saying "coward", etc.: we don't know the situation this man was in. He could have been in unbearable pain, and found that this was a better way to go out than to suffer. You can't truly assess a situation like this unless you've been in it.

From my experiences, that's what I've observed. Jerks and bullies are at the top of the 'food chain', if you will, without much work. If I knew how to use my fists, I could get through life pretty well.

If you think that in the "real world" people are all huge assholes who get by being incredibly mean to everybody, you have a very skewed view of reality. People, for the most part are nice. Bullies are a small population. As long as you stand up for yourself, and are kind to other people, you can get along in life fairly easily.

There was probably a deeper story behind that; one does not simply commit suicide because of something like that.
