On May 31st, the World will celebrate No Tobacco day. The "Holidays" intention is too "Make the world a better place" and help smokers stop smoking. Now some facts on Tobacco.
Tobacco comes from the plant Nicotiana, named after the French Ambassador Jean Nicot. Originally Tobacco was used as a medicine. However later on it was used for more recreational purposes after the American Civil War. It was then used to create the cigarette, a recreational "drug"(Labeled this way because of it's addictive properties). Many tobacco companies sprang up because of this until the controversies of the mid 1900's.
