Tuesday night was the judgment in the case. John Kristoffer Larsgard was sentenced to
prison for seven and a half years in prison. He gets a deduction of 230 days
in custody.
Norway's honorary consul in Phoenix since 2005, economics professor
George Olandersat the State University Of Arizona, reviews the case
against John Kristoffer Larsgard as "insane".
- The whole thing is a disgrace to the United States. He should get a fine
or similar to reckless driving, said Oland.
He is shocked that John Kristoffer Larsgard was found guilty.
- There is no evidence, even likely, that John Kristoffer Larsgard has tried to hurt or kill
someone in Winslow. The case is completely lost. Having been present
during part of the trial, I am shocked that he was convicted, said Oland.

on Monday. There, he is considered one of the most dangerous prisoners, and
meets with VG in anklets and handcuffs in prison.
- The treatment I receive here in prison is based on what I have been arrested
for, not what I am convicted of. The conditions here are pretty bad for me right now.
I can get out of my cell three times per week, one hour each time, to take me a shower
and maybe read the documents. Otherwise, I'm inside the cell, which has a toilet, a sink
and a mat to sleep on, says Lars farm.
24th. september last year the 33-year-old and his mother was driving
on Interstate 40 through the Arizona desert. Just before leaving Winslow
a lamp lit up on the dashboard indicating there was something wrong with
the steering. His mother, who was driving, realized something was wrong, and she
drove the car right in the middle of the discount.
The two obtained a rental car, but when they came back to Winslow to pick up
their luggage in the wrecked car, the nightmare began. John Kristoffer Larsgard
took a turn against a one-way street. The town was full of people because of a
music festival. Many reacted aggressively to John Kristoffer's driving.
It was noisy, and John Kristoffer Larsgard received a blow to the face that broke his nose.
He paniced and drove away in a wild pace. The court found that he had tried to hurt
people on purpose when he fled. Although he claims that he tried to get away.

KNOCKED DOWN: When John Christopher John Kristoffer Larsgard was arrested in Winslow last year,
he and his mother Liv was on his way to Chicago. There, he filed a case against two people who
in 2002 knocked him down during a run in Illinois, where he studied.
The incident gave John Kristoffer Larsgard neck injuries. That same year, Professor
Anders Bratholm a book about John Christopher John Kristoffer Larsgard and mother.
BULLIED: In December 2001, John Christopher John Kristoffer Larsgard awarded 30,000 kroner in criminal
injuries compensation because he was attacked by bullies at a school in Oslo.
After that his mother was present in the VG and talked about what she characterized as
a 'bully hell' that her son had been exposed. Bullying was so bad that his son moved to the United States.
THROWN OUT: in September the same year, the bioengineering student was accused of
being a potential terrorist and thrown out of studies at the University of South Alabama.
22-year-old John Kristoffer Larsgard later sued the university, so he could continue his
studies at another U.S. university.

Short version: He takes a wrong turn into a one-way street, bunch of people gathers around yelling.
Someone punches him in the face and brakes his nose, he panics, drives off and runs over a woman's foot who was
one of those gathering around the car.
He is now sentenced to 7.5 years in prison.
What a backwards fucking corrupt legal system. He has no criminal records.
Thank you America (Arizona), for ruining this persons life.
Holy shit what's wrong with that legal system.

All bioengineering foreigners in Alabama are terrorists, an Alabaman told me so himself.

What kind of retard runs up to a car even if its in the wrong lane? He also must have been driving pretty slow (possibly trying to TURN AROUND) for them to attack him like that.
What the fuck? Something isn't right here.

Well, I certainly get more reasons every week to actually NOT travel into the united states.
Hopefully Norway can negotiate and arrange an extradition.
arizona shouldn't be used as an overall example of the US
things are.. different.. there
What the fuck America.
It's stuff like this that gives our country a negative rep. I feel terrible for this man. Sorry, Norway.

God damn, why is our legal system so fucked up? Honestly, first the botched Trayvon Martin murder investigation and now a guy goes to prison for turning into a one-way going the opposite direction, gets punched in the face and goes to prison because he panicked and ran over a woman's foot.
-snip, skepticism kicking in-
This news makes me wanna blow up Arizona with a goddamm nuke then repeatedly blow it up a thousand more times till not even oxygen can survive in the shithole known as Arizona
Well, that's what he gets for being a foreigner in Arizona.
Oh man. That poor guy. I mean just look at him. :(

you are now marked as a terrorist in a database somewhere
its about time they made an example of those communist, socialist scumbags! show him whats what with the US LEGAL SYSTEM!
just read the little section on his previous run-ins with the law, holy shit that guy is unlucky
Arizona is literally ran by Fascists.
Holbrook is a shitty city and if you're claiming to be Arizonan and not know that you can fuck off. This is not a good example of America OR Arizona. The problem is the city, it's nothing but a small shitty corrupt area full of assholes and idiots - avoid it.

Good god that's awful. How in the hell do they expect criminals to come out of prison and not re offend with this sort of treatment?
Although I got to ask, does anyone have a link of this story to any major news outlets? The only site that have anything on it is sketchy at best (I only managed to find this one here as another source, but its questionable). Something this controversial should have made headlines by now, and I'm getting nothing, not even from Arizona.

Guy gets arrested innapropriately = kill innocent people
Brilliant logic
I'm sorry but, can anyone read the article without getting confused?
The grammar is so hard to understand.

I don't even...
I don't get it.
What the fuck happened in Illinois? He prosecuted someone who knocked him down? What?

That, and again I feel like a lot of details have been left out. I understand VG is the biggest newspaper in Norway, so certainly that lends credibility, but I think people ought to look into this rather than going "arizona fascist state america sux!!!"

Also, it likes to translate his name into Lars Farm. His name is John Kristoffer Larsgard.
