Hey Guys, I'm fairly new to facePunch. I have been doing graphics design for about 2 years ... I freelance myself over the web when i have free time. I would really like anyone's feedback on some of my work. I haven't done too much Logo design and would like to do more. Check out my stuff and let me know if you're interested in getting some work done. Some of it is really nice, some if it is meh but nice job :)
Some of it is nice but messy, some of it is just plain messy. I dunno. It's just so unappealing, even some of the better stuff you made. Not at all a fan of the style.
This is the one that i liked the most, really profesional looking Rest goes from good to pretty bad
just a heads up, this isn't one of those forums where everybody says how cool everything is and pats on the back
only thing i like a bit is this: http://i.imgur.com/j8esF.jpg the rest is generic overdone photoshop tutorial for signatures stuff
Basically this, any one can do it with a tutorial and I recognise a lot of it.
Fair enough guys, not looking for a pat on the back, your criticism helps me to better my future work. Thanks for your feedback... I can see a lot of you prefer clean Design over messy/grungy work.
Yeah, I'm pretty unsure of how much of this is completely original. (That is, not straight out of a tut. Or how much of it is brush-based and so on) Most of it looks pretty cool, though.
no i like good work, its type doesnt matter [editline]14th December 2011[/editline] the first results on a google search
Well, when you can make those GOOD graphics come and tell me how mine aren't adequate. =]
God fuck not this retarded argument again
I choose that one. No argument here, just a statement. :P
i could make them when i was 6 because all the skills they take are reading and clicking buttons like it shows in the pictures
Ok. Go Click and make this in a couple hours^ Can't wait to see your result. ;]
You could have accepted the criticism, acted mature, perhaps made some things more to FP's liking, but no, you acted like a faggot and got all defensive. This is why you will never improve and this is why I dislike you.

Go Click and make this in a couple hours^ Can't wait to see your result. ;]
following a tutorial is the easiest shit around, not brag material. Also, it's nothing special, just the usual "PrO GFx 1337 YO I'm A gRaPhic DesIGner 420" shit.

Instead you decided to be shallow and label me as a "faggot". This is why I dislike you. Telling someone their work is shit with no advice and claiming you could do better when you were 6 isn't criticism, it's immature.
following a tutorial is the easiest shit around, not brag material. Also, it's nothing special, just the usual "PrO GFx 1337 YO I'm A gRaPhic DesIGner 420" shit.
Even following a tutorial depending on it's complexity can be difficult. I'm not bragging, nor do i think i am a pro GFx 1337 designer or whatever it is you labelled me as. I know I'm new and i might have appeared cocky, but that wasn't my intention. I simply made a thread to show some of my work, and to mainly get advice from people who may be more experienced in the field of graphics design to better my skills. If a majority of you even took note of my first post where i asked for tips regarding logo design you might have something better to offer, instead of simply being rude or derailing this thread. I don't mind criticism, and i would love some advice, but there is a polite way of doing things. From this point on please just drop some advice or your comments in a mature way. Thanks guys. =]
No point arguing LiMaaa, it would be best to simply stop defending yourself or just change the subject. I learned that a long time ago and in this situation it is the best thing to do. Pretty nice work, even if some of it is tutorials, that is how I got started; gimp and tutorials. I'm glad to see that you use the tutorial, but produce your own result. Only critique I can think of is that, if that lifestyle decor logo is supposed to be a logo, that grass would not be a great idea. Scaling it down would produce some issues, and it could cause some problems in other processes too. The grass in my opinion is essentially too much detail, simplicity is key. Anyways, keep going.
LiMaaa people have already labelled you as someone who doesn't take criticism well. There has been legit advice given and the obvious tutorial stuff has been pointed out and all you reply with is "Well, I don't see you make stuff this good so why should your opinion matter?" That kind of attitude is looked down upon here, and it's evident in your thread. If you stop now and accept people can have taste and knowledge even without necessarily being good at whatever you're doing, then you've already done enough to save what's left of your reputation. On a last note I'd like to point out that I personally find it very lazy to show off the work that has been done following a tutorial. Tutorials are not out there to let you make good stuff the easy way - They are there to make you learn and apply that knowledge you obtain on different and personal projects.

Most of my stuff in fact is not made by following a tutorial. From the work I posted Only one or two Graphic's were made following a Tutorial, But thanks for the advice anyway. =]
just a heads up, this isn't one of those forums where everybody says how cool everything is and pats on the back
hate to say it, but told you so Lima. I actually didn't really say anything bad, because I don't like to do it. When I see something good, I can criticize it and stuff. But your stuff is pretty average as in, theres nothing fresh or new. I just don't like to talk when I am not sure if the people receiving it are going to understand it and take it well. Other people here though are cold and straight with their words, which I found pretty harsh when I joined this forum and showcased my stuff. Some people liked it, but others didn't, and dissected my shirts part by part. I kept arguing and arguing, but at the end I realised that what they said was the cold truth
