He had some trouble with the concept of strafing :v:
Why convert him to codfagius.
I got my 52 year old father into STALKER and ARMA 2.
my dad plays WoW :smith:
I used to play Call of Duty: United Offensive, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix and Battlefield 1942/Vietnam with my dad back in the day. Now he has heaps of shift work and I have lots of school work we just can't play games any more.

I thought i'd start with something simple. He's been using a computer for about 6 years and he still uses the hunt and peck method of typing.
I'll work him up to the more complicated games.
I tried to teach my father how to play Warcraft III a while ago. It was nearly impossible - almost like trying to teach him how to speak Chinese.
That was painfull to watch.
My dad is a computer wiz, but he has absolutely no idea how to play game, except a few console games.
My dad used to play COD 1 and 2, Gmod, HL2 coop, and a bunch of other games before 2006. Sadly we couldn't play much more after that due to his job :frown:
Man i can't even get my dad to play motorcycle games and he's a biker.
My dad and i have nothing in common, you guys should be happy you do.
My dad's favorite games are S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Dead Space
My dad plays work. Work,work,work!

My dad looks like the kind of guy that has no idea how to use a computer but he has been building his own computers since in the early 90's. He still does the two prong finger typing method.

Same.
My dad's the best he plays BF and has since 1942 released, which got me into the BF series.
My dad never played a video game. He has no idea about computers, he don't read, he is a polish redneck.
:saddowns:
My dad and his brother were addicted to tetris back in the days. He doesn't play anymore though, but I remember me and him playing Ducktales on the NES. I also remember crying when he managed to die as scrooge at the Egypt level.
I managed to get my grandmother to play Black Ops (PC). She never touched a computer before; it was the funniest shit.
My dad used to be into videogames, but he quit since when he ragequits he normally breaks a mouse or keyboard or both before hand.
My dad used to play battlefield 1942.
We even played it together over LAN. He always hated me for playing as Axis.
My dad bought a PS2 (we already had one) and played it for like 2 days.
Recently on a trip to EB games he went and look at the new duke. I asked him why he never played his PS2 and he said because it was all kiddy games and shit on there. Now he wants an xbox.

He's getting away from the kiddy games to go to a console full of kid's, unless you're talking about the original xbox ofcourse, I have no idea what the community "was" like on that.
My dad never really got into 3D games, but he still plays a platformer every now and then. I'm grateful that he introduced me to alot of DOS games like Commander Keen when I was a kid.
My dad plays flash games on Addicting Games and Zuma.
my dad only plays word games
My dad plays X-COM, Fallout, AOE, Cossacks, RA2, Counter-Strike, Battlefield 1942/2/2142/BC/BC2, AVP 2000, Commandos, Gangsters: Organised Crime, Half-life 1/2, Quake Series and Legend of Mir (well I don't know if he does now). He completely destroys me in strategy games.
I was at my grandpas house out of state probably 6 years ago and my brother installed Counter-Strike on his computer so we could pass the time. My dad saw us playing and tried it, instantly becoming addicted and bought his own copy on steam and still plays it.
My Dad has clocked around 300 hours of TF2, around 100 on both MW2 and BO, he is only just getting started with Minecraft!
I can only just beat my dad at COD, he got me into games in the first place but my teenage reaction times just top him. Father and son CO-OP>Any gamemode
My father knows how to use a computer. But he has never played any games. He loves Sci fi and action movies so much. I have to convince him to play games like EVE online or something since that is basically something he would love. Having his space ship and all.
My dad has 600 hours in TF2, and 400 in Bad Company 2. :D
He's a big fan of Battlefield, and is waiting for Battlefield 3.
