Spoken word music is a unique kind of music. It's basically poetry with a soundtrack, but lately it seems to have caught on with a few popular acts. Spoken word music is generally more lyrically complex and (in my opinion) passionate than other types of music.
Some great examples of spoken word music are:

and to some extent:

Admittedly, this genre (if you can call it that) is not for everyone. It's an odd blend of different musical elements, but one that many appreciate.

That's one of my favorites.
I do love some spoken word, especially The Last Poets.

I entered the thread thinking I wouldn't like this kind of music but I quite like Listener, and I'll give mewithoutYou a second try. Thanks OP.

No problem, I didn't think I'd like listener either when I first heard of it, because it just seemed like some guy with a mustache talking about life, but it grew on me quickly.
MeWithoutYou has a great style but a ton of their stuff has strong religious themes which unfortunately makes it hard for me to get into for some reason.

I never understood why people say that. Aside from It's All Crazy, their stuff is pretty ambiguous and open to interpretation. Have you listened to [A->B] Life? It's pretty much devoid of religious themes. Maybe a mention here or there but nothing like most of the stuff on It's All Crazy where the lyrics are a lot of times just word for word from the bible. Even Catch For Us The Foxes and Brother, Sister are pretty relatable even though they have a few bible phrases or mentions of god thrown in here or there, but in my opinion that just enhances the experience, and I'm not even religious.
It's in Swedish but still spoken.

This might be silly but could you elaborate? Not sure what you mean by that.

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
It's that tingly feeling you get on your head and the back of your neck when you hear certain sounds.
