I'm guessing the water had some dissolved gas that is slipping out of the cube and that's being lit on fire.
I guess they are transmiting heat from beneath, making the icem elt and the gas combust which releases heat inside the cube which combusts some more gas and melts some more ice, etc. etc.

There is a piece of metal inside of the icecube and it gets heated by the coils so it glows red hot. You can hear it drop out of the ice around 25 seconds or so.
