He says it was during a mock election when the class was asked, “Who voted for Donald Trump?” In an exclusive interview with FOX 26, the 11-year-old boy involved and his family tell us what happened. “These boys decided to ask the classroom, ‘Who voted for Donald Trump?’ And then I said, ‘I did.’ And then they come over here and jerked me out of my seat,” said the student. “Before I could get up they started kicking me and punching me.” The student’s name was protected by request of his parents. But he told us the classroom did have a teacher present. He said when he was on the ground, it “felt like it was forever”. “We have not really gotten a clear explanation of how long this went on and why did it take so long for it to be stopped?” said his father Buddy Lemmon. The Lemmons said they received a call from the principal of the school immediately after the incident.
I simply cannot defend any sort of violence against anyone else for their political opinions, no matter how much I may disagree with them or lose respect for them for it. Especially against a child who probably doesn't know any better. Just as a side note, though. I've noticed that you (OP) has pretty much had every single one of your posts since the election results (and possibly earlier) be about violence against Trump supporters. I can only hope that you're not doing so in order to push any sort of agenda and might consider equally representing these sorts of topics, because an us vs them mentality is the last thing we need.
As Churchill said: The fascists of the future will be called anti-fascists.

Regardless, these stories must be shared so we know what was going on. At the risk of sounding self-righteous, the reason Trump supporters share this is because we are the ones the media likes to target. If the media doesn't want to document violence equally then someone else has to step up to the plate. If the media covers it equally but the public doesn't care to listen, we have to keep bringing it up. As a general note, people share what they think is important. Many people on this forum have outright ignored what I posted and only talked about how I was posting Trump stuff so I must have an agenda and therefore my posts should be disregarded (followed by that post getting many stars). Forums are about open discussion, and I hope now that the election is over we stop grabbing each other by the throat and just have chats with one another.
So far the violence has been pretty even on both sides.

You were one of the better Trump posters, but even you, you still dodged arguments, ignored posts and statements that showed your posts to be misinformed or wrong and you, like all trump posters here would run away, and never return, and you'd start the same shit up in a different thread. People ran out of patience for that kind of argumentative dishonesty and even now you're just mentally rewriting history to absolve yourself and your ilk from any guilt or responsibility

Neither side would listen to each other so I stopped bothering to participate. If you feel like blaming everything Trump does on my ballot for him go ahead. I'm sick of getting into these messes with everyone. It doesn't matter now; Trump won. As chaotic as the fallout has been over the past 48 hours we need to move on. Obama's doing the right thing and being professional with helping Trump move in. Have fun with it or don't, but digging up stuff from the election season slows the healing process.
Like Can they not?

Like my memory isn't so dull that I don't remember these events and these types of situations and the idea that you and people like you had nothing to do with any of it is just too much for me. I've been called a shill more times than I can possibly be comfortable with, do we have to move on, or is it all down to little ol me and people like me? Isn't part of the healing process recognizing the fact there were errors from all parties? How can I move on, and do so in a healthy manner when that's not happening on all sides, and it's only us that seem to have any fault from your perspective. I don't blame you for voting Trump, I won't blame his administrations potential failures on you, I never even said anything to that effect.
One of the classmates in my upper-level history course (ironically on Operation Barbarossa) talked about how as a Student teacher, he has had many history high school teachers compare Trump to Hitler openly in class, in a more he really is Hitler 2.0 way. He says that they held a mock election and basically it just ended up with 5 students not being able to speak, since the rest were going full tantrum. And yet people keep wondering why some vote for Trump given how people are conducting arguments.

Everyone he talks to in our area said they did the same thing. The polls were probably just misinformed rather than rigged as Trump likes to say.
So far the violence has been pretty even on both sides.
Nah, its pretty lop sided
Nah, its pretty lop sided
With such a definitive statement I'm sure you have plenty of unbiased, scientific sources to back it up
Nah, its pretty lop sided
it really isn't
I hope those kids get expelled.
it really isn't
Can you show me groups of Trump supporters hitting people in the head with rocks? Can you show me groups of Trump supporters egging women? Can you show me groups of Trump supporters assaulting and robbing a driver because of who he voted for? Can you show me groups of Trump supporters protesting in the streets, starting fires, vandalizing cars and store fronts? Can you show me groups of Trump supporters throwing bricks and bottles at police officers that have to control said protests? I'll be waiting
"Fake" You beat me to linking those
The stories literally don't have proof, though Especially "Man in MAGA hat grabs my pussy". That just screams sketch.
Really I've only been hearing reports of violence coming from people who are against Trump, and a lot of them seem to be really hot headed and aggressive. Though I'm waiting to see if the other party starts acting up as well
The stories literally don't have proof, though Especially "Man in MAGA hat grabs my pussy". That just screams sketch.
Here you go then I guess. CNN has a piece on some of this stuff among others. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/10/us/post-election-hate-crimes-and-fears-trnd/
The stories literally don't have proof, though Especially "Man in MAGA hat grabs my pussy". That just screams sketch.
There's been hundreds of stories online about trump supporters being violent towards minorities now post-election I'm not willing to believe all of them but you can sure as hell believe I'm not going to dismiss all of them. Willing to bet quite a lot of them actually happened
The stories literally don't have proof, though Especially "Man in MAGA hat grabs my pussy". That just screams sketch.
That story about grabbed in the crotch is so fucking fake I'd bet my damn life on it. The rest are probably true, but to be fair, not as bad as getting the shit beaten out of you and your car stolen imo. Not trying to downplay the fact that people are suffering at the hands of Trump supporters, because they are, just saying that I find it a little skewed when we're comparing tweets to video evidence of people getting their shit kicked in by gangs of people.

It really just sounds like you don't want to read criticism of Trump, which is fine, there are places for you to go if you like that but don't come to FP and tell us you want an "open discussion" if you are just going to imply that because he won the race that means we can't criticize him still.
