Rad. Fez was a cool and creative game.
edit: I wonder how many of you rating this dumb/disagree have actually played Fez.
I feel like it would have been wiser to just release updates for the original game. Keep that zeitgeist going, you know? Of course that wouldn't be possible because of the way downloadable games work on consoles, but hey.
Like you peasants even deserve it.
i'm willing to pay $90 for this, because i'm such a fucking ingrate, i'm so lucky he charges so little for a game so deserving!
How?
Seriously, why do people like Fez? It's not even a real game.
Will I need Office 2013 to run this or will 2010 be fine

Why appreciate a game for what it is when you can dislike it for Phil Fish's attitude and inability to patch/update the game because of Microsoft's policies. Thanks, internet.

Fez isn't really focused on platforming. Its much more of a puzzle game than an actual platformer. And the puzzles are certainly not easy, the main code of the game takes some real studying to crack. Also, it's not pixel art at all, everything in the game is 3D and you can see it once you get the first person mode.

I was bashed for calling Walking Dead not a game, if Walking Dead is a game then Fez is a damn game. Fez is just a really bad game.
Hopefully this one will have gameplay.
Did either of you play it or did you just watch videos online about it?

Clam down is just jokes.
Fez is still bad though.

phil fish's disgusting attitude is reason enough not to buy this.

the dev is a gigantic cunt
enough that the game isn't worth even pirating. because, he's just a gigantic piece of shit.
Did I just watch a trailer that attempted to present itself by showing a colored horizontal line.

Why should it be? The game, regardless of how you feel about the creator, shouldn't be judged by those merits alone. It's foolish.
I never understood people getting mad at Phil. He's absolutely not serious when he calls people "nerds" or that PC is only for spreadsheets.

Whether or not you should give someone money absolutely depends on how they treat you

I played it, I couldn't believe how boring and pretentious it was, also I couldn't believe how much Phillip Fish was a massive faggot. Also I hold a really strong stigma towards it because the game won awards for it's dull uninspired 8bit ambient noises that are supposed to make it feel more ~art~. I care a lot about sound design and music in games and this pissed me off more than anything.

You've forgotten everyone on FP almost exclusively hates Fez because people don't like phil fish and it didn't come out as a PC game at first (so it's not relevant)

That doesn't make it a good game. I don't even think you can call it a game. You don't fight anything, there's no real platforming other than going as much as you can to the left or right, collect crap, QR codes (lol), and you just infinitely respawn to the last place you were at every time you do because there's no lives. There's no challenge to it. None.

lol okay - its definitely not a game

There was like zero pretension in the game. All it was was just jumping and solving puzzles, there was no room for pretension. You're gonna have reiterate what exactly you mean by that.

but look at how long he spent on the pixel art!

Does not look interesting enough to justify giving him any money for it. Plain and simple. If it looked really fun and interesting, I might have been able to overlook the fact that he's a giant douche. However since it looks "meh", his shitty attitude keeps me from even considering it.
Now with 10 years of waiting for to dev and even easier gameplay!

Do you seriously have to ask this question
"Why do people like Proteus? It's not even a real game"
"Why do people like Journey? It's not even a real game, you can't even properly die in it"
"Why do people like Knytt? It's not even a real game"
"Why do people like Dear Esther? It's not even a real game"
This is one of the stupidest and banal arguments people make about Fez, and Facepunch is literally one of the only internet communities on earth that consistently tries to make it. Which is even more ironic because Fez has more "gameplay-like" elements to it than Dear Esther, Journey, etc and but yet FP seems to be totally cool with those games.
It's just stupid.

So what do you consider the requirements for something to be considered a game? Because everything you said can be applied to most puzzle games, including things like Portal and Antichamber.
