I'm so glad too see a politician finally take a hard stance against homophobia, it's definitely something Kevin really needed to do before the election. Labor should win this election for the NBN and for human rights.

Also side-note the liberal party (coalition) in Australia is the conservative party where as the ALP (Australian Labor Party) is more actually left-wing/liberal-ish, for those non-Australians that are a bit confused.

I suppose at least that Tony Abbott isn't entirely against marriage equality and the LGBT community in general. I dunno if he was just doing it to look good for the media or not, but when referring to that Christian school which didn't allow for homosexuality he said he disagreed with that policy. Oh, and one of his relatives is a lesbian I think.
But yeah I seriously hope the Coalition doesn't win anyways.

But I also don't think it's good for us to laugh at this man simply for having the unpopular opinion and being responded to with the popular opinion. He did not present an attack on Kevin, but simply stated the questions that people of his church had and listened openly, so I say he's fair in his beliefs and doesn't deserve to be mocked.

Who is the pastor even? You don't have to go to school to become a pastor. They could have picked anybody from some ho-dink town to debate. Suddenly somebody tacks on the name "pastor" makes them an expert on everything Christian and every single fucking Christian believes the same exact shit like a hive mind right?

I have no data but I imagine it would be less so. The statement to be evaluated in the survey was "Marriage should only be between a man and a woman" and it was an online survey that would suffer heavily from self selection bias and not technically a poll, but supposedly it was weighted and data altered to reflect that fact and is therefore an accurate representation. Nonetheless it wasn't a proper poll.
