Man tries to rob bank after paying a wizard $500 to make him invisible

[QUOTE=Metro.co.uk]Sadly for one man in Iran, he made just that mistake – and as a result, police in Tehran are hunting a fake sorcerer who convinced the man he was invisible and so could rob banks safely.
The man's ill-fated heist attempt started to go wrong shortly after he entered the bank, as he started snatching money from the hands of customers. For some reason, rather than being terrified of the mysterious invisible poltergeist stealing their cash, the customers quickly overpowered the hapless thief.
'I made a mistake. I understand now what a big trick was played on me,' the man told the court, state-run newspaper Jam-e Jam reports.
He explained that he had paid 5 million rials (just under £290) to a wizard imposter, who in return gave hims spells to tie to his arm. The sorcerer told him that they would make him invisible, and that he could then rob banks to his heart's content.

I guess he didn't see that coming.
Was he a 30 year old virgin?
Turns out justice is blind, so invisibility doesn't matter.
Hell, I wouldn't arrest the wizard. Anyone stupid enough to believe they were invisible, and then rob a bank, deserve what they get.

Well it's Iran so they're probably going to try to arrest him for witchcraft or blasphemy or something stupid.
Wow, ok even if you thought the "wizard" was legit wouldn't you take those spells out for a test-drive first or something before robbing the bank?
Someone would still notice money flying around in the air by itself though, so either way, it's a loss for the would-be thief.

Stupid or not, a scam is a scam, and that's illegal.
"one man in Iran"
I didn't expect that
Sources later confirmed that both the Wizard and the Thief rolled a one. The Paladin and Barbarian were unavailable for comment.
I thought this was going to be in some African place like that one time when a goat was arrested for GTA because it was a suspected shapeshifter

not enough hair gel
the problem isn't that the spell didn't work, it was probably because he didn't take off his clothes first
Man where was the "fake wizard" booth at my high school career day years ago? I totally would have gone a different path.
I can imagine the guy just walking into the bank and snatching the cash from people's hands going all "OooooOOOoooooo"

Am I a bad person for expecting it to be in America?
Sorcerer or Wizard? Make up your mind Iran!
$500 for invisibility? That's a fucking rip off.
Find Frodo, beat the shit out of him, steal his ring, and you are golden. :v:
Wow, having to fake being able to cast invisibility? It's a second level spell, he needs to get his shit together.

Yeah, until he found out the Iranian secret service was after him.
