HOODS - One of my favorite hardcore bands ever, founded by Mike Hood in Sacramento.

Hoods is a hardcore punk band from Sacramento, California. After many attempts at being dropped from Victory Records, Hoods signed with Eulogy Recordings in 2005 and released The King Is Dead. The group released a new album, Ghetto Blaster, on April 24th, 2007. The newest release "Pit Beast" dropped in late May of 2009. Mike Hoods is no longer in Suicide Krew. Hoods is also known for often pulling a gun on promoters who don't meet their guarantee.
The Sacto Hoods as they are known used to be a straight edge band.
Mike Hood has straight edge tattoos on his calves (I think, I know he has some, can't exactly remember where) and an interviewer asked him why he doesn't get them covered up (Mike Hood is no longer straight edge, nor does he fight anymore) and Mike said that the times he was straight edge were the best of his life, and he wouldn't trade those memories for anything, even if people call him a traitor or "sell out".

Mike also has an experimental metal/psychadelic band called Murderlicious. Another one of my favorite bands.
