Trebley for sure. Maybe more mids than usual too not sure. It seems to change with different parts of the song though. Sounds like the strings are plucked hard so they get a bit of slap on the frets but only a little.

I know a get a bit more of a snappy tone when I play shorter scale basses, since there's not as much tension as there is on a 34" fretboard as opposed to say a 30". Try going to your nearest music shop, and trying out something like an Epiphone EB-1 or similar with all the output from the bridge pickup, play near the bridge as well. Put the treble up on your amp and/or bass, and see where you go.

It sounds like it switches from pick playing to fingers. Some sections have that pick twang and others sound soft like fingers.
