Democrats have insisted that they will push to win the only outstanding Senate race in the country — a Dec. 10 runoff election in Louisiana — but it appears to be trending toward the Republican candidate, which would give the party an effective 52-48 majority next year.
State Treasurer John N. Kennedy won the most votes on Nov. 8, but in a crowded field he fell far short of the 50 percent threshold needed to win outright.[/quote]

Let's go David Duke!
[sp]kidding. It's an interesting system louisiana has nonetheless. Democrats will more than likely lose it.[/sp]
With the GOP in clear high swing, I don't see a GOP senator in the deep south losing this.
Thankfully 52 isn't a supermajority in the senate.
And honestly, a guy named John N. Kennedy is basically destined to serve in American politics

To be honest, this guy isn't actually connected with the Kennedy family from Mass (the one with more politics and stuff).

he's down south, so that's pretty much like being in texas. and that state is full of bridges, limousines, hotels and book depositories, so he's pretty much fucked.

He's living in an actual Final Destination movie.
Scratch that, having the name Kennedy puts you in Final Destination.
