These two from Misery go without question: Jesus fuck Both of them are equally disturbing What are some movie scenes that you find to be creepy/scary/disturbing?
Everything from The Exorcist.
Any movie where you see a guy's weener, especially if you thought it was a girl up to that point.
From Akira. I was waiting for a good reason to post this. Not the scariest thing out there, but it's probably one of the best examples of body horror, if not the best. This film also contains an excellent soundtrack.
The chestbursting scene in Alien made me cringe a bit. Again in Aliens. Oh and the scene in The Thing where the guy's hands get chopped off by the belly mouth and everything that happens afterwards.
The amputation scene in 127 Hours. When he has to cut the nerve. I just could not watch that, and every time I think of it I cringe. Harrowing movie, but really great.
the scene in martyrs where they show the girl in the tank bed thing completely flayed except her face and the camera slowly zooms in on her face. hard candy, a number of scenes, but the worst was the ball cutting scene. what really did it for me was when she shaved his balls and poured vodka on them to sterilize them his face turned extremely red. just his face blushing almost made me puke. irreversible, the entire scene at the club "the rectum" and the 10 minute rape scene with no hidden or implied action, i'm pretty sure the scene was done all at once with no cuts. enter the void, the entire fucking movie. it's basically the stargate scene from 2001 but 2 hours long and a bunch of fucked up themes including incest, oedipus complex, rape, etc. i stand alone, the scene where he fucks his daughter then kills her. he shoots her through the neck and she's just lying there alive and panting for like 5 minutes before he finally finishes her then shoots himself [sp]then it goes back to where he was looking at the gun before he shoots her and himself and he puts the gun back revealing it was just a fantasy sequence[/sp] the machinist, the entire fucking movie. i've got a fucked up head too so i knew where everything was going, was constantly cringing. requiem for a dream, especially if you've already seen the movie before. the worst scene though is where he shoots up in his fucked up arm. i've shot up before and it was quite unpleasant but just imagining shooting into a rotting vein... ugh. i know it's not a movie but the episode of house where the kid has worms in his eyes.. AARRHGJGHLJFDGIOISJDGIM every david lynch movie he's ever made except the one he made for disney. yes there is a disney david lynch film. and dune, i don't think that was fucked up, i've never seen it. i can't decide on one scene because seriously it's all very fucked up. Pi, the entire movie the mist, again, the entire movie especially the ending (if you can put aside the kind of weird almost bad screams and cries) battle royale, i find the entire concept of the movie very disturbing. well, i found it to be disturbing cause the first time i watched it i was so high it felt like i was in the movie. the thing, entire fucking movie eden log. a bunch of scenes but the most fucked up is the ending scene and the scene where he finds the guy who's stuck to the wall with roots growing in and out of him black swan. again, a bunch of scenes, but the worst one for me was when she picks at her cuticle and then rips a bunch of skin off. jacob's ladder. another fucked up movie but the worst is the hell scene where he gets carted through the halls of the really fucked up place then gets trespaned by a giant needle REC, the spanish version. the entire movie mysterious skin, any molestation scene. a few sex scenes especially the first time he whores himself and the last time (when he gets raped) sunshine. the entire concept of the movie, i'm absolutely terrified of stars. pan's labyrinth, the scene with the dude who has eyes on his palms. a scanner darkly, the opening scene. i've had drug induced hallucinations of being covered in bugs before, i even took multiple showers. didn't go so far as to spray bug spray on myself though. a bunch of these are because i can relate.
The entire torture scene in Martyrs. It's very...thorough.
not all that much happens to her. they feed her disgusting food and smack her around. maybe there's some implied rape but considering how clandestine it was it's all pretty tame compared to what they do to her in the end. in fact it's fucking nothing compared to what they do to her in the end.
It's just the length of it really. It takes up a fair amount of the film.
[sp]yeah the entire second half[/sp] but even then i think they're taking quantity over quality and trying to be all new french extreme but they don't have the balls to be explicitly cruel. the end makes up for it in a horrible way, so i'm not complaining. but the movie is hardly as visceral as it could have been.
When a guy gets cut in the balls in cannibal holocaust.

Serbian Film. Baby fucking.
The dog scene in the Thing. The first time I watched it I nearly shit my pants and turned the movie off. It gave me nightmares until I finally managed to watch the whole thing years later. :v: Ugh, the image of the dog's face being split into parts and the tongue coming out will forever be burned into my brain. Still my favorite movie, though. <3

Anything that turns Ryu-Gi on.
Exorcist III is so underrated.
Buried. The entire movie was pretty disturbing. [sp]Plus how it doesn't have your typical Hollywood happy ending[/sp]
Buried. The entire movie was pretty disturbing. [sp]Plus how it doesn't have your typical Hollywood happy ending[/sp]
I rented that once. I liked it. The ending sucked though.

am i the only person who found the opening of inglorious pretty disturbing? i dunno. i was on the edge of my seat though. masterful film making also when the german nco is lying on the floor getting his head smashed in with the bat made me cringe
