Similar happened back in April, except the multiple attackers got completely fucked up. so i'd say the burglar in this case was very lucky

My brother is in the one of the local SCA charters down here and he has a lot of fun with it. He won a spiked mace club from one of the events. We joked about using it for home defense, though it looks like this woman beat us to it.

You know what they say; if the gun's in the safe, you don't have it. Since it's in your nightstand though I'd imagine it won't take long for you to get to it?

It wouldn't take that long at all and completely negates any risk of the child actually getting it. I guess the more risky option would be keeping the gun unloaded and tucked away, and the magazine kept in a separate place. Though this just seems unnecessary, and the whole night-stand thing seems a lot better.
