So, reading the article... "Raleigh police officers had caught Miller in the back seat of a vehicle, in mid-act with a black male prostitute masquerading as a woman." The sex worker was probably a trans woman. So not only does this add another layer of hypocrisy, the article disregards the high potential that the worker is a trans woman, not just a "male prostitute masquerading as a woman."
