They pulled the ad today after the NYC attack btw
They pulled the ad today after the NYC attack btw
oh, interesting. i hadn't heard about the NYC attack until just a second ago, and was wondering why the ad was so tough to find all of the sudden. makes sense.
actually this is exactly the kind of direction the democrats needs to go in decorum is dead call out the deplorable pieces of shit like they are ed gillespie can rot in hell there's only going to be more of these 'lone wolf' attacks to come and this is an accurate portrayal of the future republican want
Gillespie's attack ads are no better.

Dude cherrypicked quotes to suggest that Northam is protecting pedophiles
Even for political ads standards of misleading/bias, this is truly a horrible and disgusting ad that does nothing but try to paint conservatives as muttering psychos with a broad brush.
I miss it when people used facts rather than personal attacks.
I miss it when people used facts rather than personal attacks.
tell me of this magical make-believe time
As far as I can tell, this isn't actually endorsed by the democratic candidate but was being run by a third party firm
Even for political ads standards of misleading/bias, this is truly a horrible and disgusting ad that does nothing but try to paint conservatives as muttering psychos with a broad brush.
When conservatives need absolutely no help on that front.
When conservatives need absolutely no help on that front.
Now that's just being unfair and unbalanced, I know that there are literal nazis being approved by the conservative administration, but some university students somewhere are being over-sensitive. It evens out.
As dumb as the ad is, similar incidents have occurred recently so this shit isn't entirely unfathomable

Because painting half the country as people who run down children with a truck because they're brown is going to lead to healthy and productive discourse, right?
Seriously, pork barreled borderline libelous attack ads like this need to stop, and they need to stop now.
When conservatives need absolutely no help on that front.
If an ad by the republicans came out that showed Democrats to be wanton murderers and suggest they are supporters of murderers, I would be saying the exact same thing. Wouldnt you?

Republicans aren't interested in discourse open your eyes
These adverts have always been fucking crazy. To an outside observer they look like parodies or a scene from a dystopian sci-fi.

How does this ad have anything to do with the appropriation of federal budgetary money for a local project?
[sp]Conservatives will actually get upset when you paint everyone on their side of the aisle as terrorists because a few of them have drove trucks into people when that's exactly what they've done to Muslims lol[/sp]

What's your opinion on the ad I posted
If an ad by the republicans came out that showed Democrats to be wanton murderers and suggest they are supporters of murderers, I would be saying the exact same thing. Wouldnt you?
Well the Democrats are supporters of the US military, so no.
What's your opinion on the ad I posted
I mean you could throw a dart at a dumpster full of political ads and it would land on something I find distortive/radically off/through a extremely biased lense.
It just isn't as bad as accusing your opponents and their supporters as wanton murderers of children with a truck though. That is Daisy 1964 levels of disillusionment to imagine your opponent to be the worst of the worst and, even worse considering if I asked what evidence you have to show Gillespie would support such actions, you would find nothing.

No, he just vilifies all immigrants.
Meanwhile in reality first generation immigrants commit almost no crime.

In political ads? You gotta be dreaming

On the topic of misrepresenting political ads:

I saw this on tv the other day. No surprise, it's produced by a Republican group called Eastside Values. It's not really the same as showing a liberal running down a hick in their electric Prius, but it certainly does play to the stereotypes.

I think pretty much all political ads suck regardless of sides.
But yeah, my only big point here is that there is a certain level of dishonesty you hit when you get to the, "My opponent and their supporters are for running over children with a Truck" level instead of the usual distortion of facts and support for policies with outlandish consequences.
Gillespie and Republicans have been disgusting in there attacks on Northam so this was bound to happen.
Gillespie and Republicans have been disgusting in there attacks on Northam so this was bound to happen.
It still doesn't make it right. You should never stoop down to your opponent's level.

And then surpass it by some too.
But yes, I agree completely with your point.

To reiterate, northam hasn't endorsed this ad in the slightest

Hey I sincerely doubt running over kids was the message that they wanted to convey. The attack in new York literally just happened and this ad would have been in production for months beforehand. Use your brain before you post, I know you have one in there somewhere
Please describe in your own words what that truck was going to do with the children at the dead-end.
Because they totally weren't trying to invoke Charlottesville-vibes in an ad invoking Charlotteville-vibes of people getting ran over. Right?
I know you have a tendency to say out of touch beliefs, but hopefully you aren't going to seriously tell me the guy wanted to just shout at the kids or something.
