pretty nuts, probably late but i thought it was pretty rad (and creepy). original soundtrack got deleted for copywright so just play em both at the same time
I always wondered why did they make them walk towards it afterwards? Was it just to test the effects on humans like the video title says? Did they just not know how dangerous it was at the time?
And if you take the original audio from the atomic bomb tests, it synchs perfectly over The Wizard of Oz. [editline]2nd July 2013[/editline] And if you play it backwards, you hear Robert Plant singing about Satan.
That mushroom cloud has a beautiful voice.
The Great Gig in the Sky was an atomic bomb.

I found a longer version of the same video a while back. Music seemed to fit pretty well. There's something really unsettling about watching them all climbing out of the trenches whilst the mushroom cloud is still rising, then going and poking all the things that were destroyed by the blast. Makes you wonder how it affected them afterwards, exposure like that to the blast can't have been too healthy for them.

The Great Gig In The Sky fits with damn near everything.

I had a phase when I was young where I would just look for all the nuke blast videos.
I think part of it was also to begin formulating battle plans in a recently bombed area, I know the Soviets did a lot of that.
This was before we knew of the full effects of radiation, nuclear weapons were originally gonna be treated as just really large normal bombs, as in sending in infantry to take the bombed area, nuclear cannons, etc.
Just so you all know, the corpses were dummies.

That's surreal. I can't listen to PF without thinking about death. :(
