LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. - A pizza delivery man was murdered for pizza, not money. That’s what a Gwinnett County Police Detective testified to in a preliminary court hearing Friday.
My boyfriend delivered pizza for a while and it always worried me he was going to get robbed or attacked while working. I believe a guy he worked with actually was attacked during a delivery once.
They're all so young too, so many lives ruined over a fucking pizza of all things.
Pizza delivery is actually one of the most dangerous jobs around
It's a risk every delivery guy has to take when dealing with suspect customers.
Goes to show you what fucked-up interpretations people have of common sense.

when i delivered pizza, one of my fellow drivers had to quit on the spot when she started getting stalked. dude would follow her around from the store to the customers house, and back. she told our boss, he talked to the dude, ended up having to call the cops. poor girl was so freaked out she quit right then and there.
Parents wouldnt even allow me to try getting a job as a deliveryman as a teen because my dad had been robbed at gunpoint working as a pizza guy when he was a teenager
They do not earn enough for what they have to deal with

There are neighborhoods in my city that pizza won't deliver to on account of how often the drivers are robbed or attacked. Pretty despicable shit.
Man how the fuck can you attack a pizza delivery guy, they bring nothing but good news to everyone.
This is awful

im sure every city has that. nashville has quite a few. we'd get orders from them on occasion, and my boss would just decline them, because of the history of drivers being attacked/mugged/what have you. i'd love to see a city that doesnt have a single bad part though.

Same thing here in the UK. My friend works for Tesco doing the home delivery service. He delivered a persons groceries and as he was bringing the bags into their house, the woman's husband was pissed out of his face and started to be aggressive towards my mate. It scared the shit out of him.
This hits home for me. My friend was a pizza delivery guy for a while, until he was robbed while delivering a large pizza to an apartment complex. He didn't see who it was, but they robber hit him in the head with something, knocking him unconscious, and stole the pizza. My friend was lucky: he woke up on the ground after a little while and immediately called the police, they sent him to the hospital.
The strangest thing about it though was the robber took the large pizza, but didn't take the box. So we were imaging a guy running away with full, unboxed, large pizza in his hands.
I heard of getting the munchies, but this is ridiculous.
I live with this fear every day I work. The company I deliver for "doesn't discriminate", which as far as I can tell is stupid talk for "we want you to rob and kill our drivers because we will send them to any area at any time even if there has been a reported shooting in the area."
Kevlar was created by a pizza delivery guy after he was attacked by three dudes and ended up killing all of them. Or was shot twice in another incident. The literature isn't very clear.

Pizza delivery guy here. Earning slightly above minimum wage to ruin my car and risk getting shot - living the life.
Attacking a pizza delivery driver is like attacking red cross relief workers. Its just crossing a line.
I work for Papa John's as a driver, and there isn't a neighborhood in our unusually large delivery radius that is off-limits. One of my cohorts was mugged fairly recently. Delivery driving is ranked at 5 out of the 10 most dangerous jobs there is!
I work for orderahead, which only middle class and above people use
seems like because of that (and no cash, all digital) it's a lot safer
