The band started up in 2005 with a song called ‘The Kids” that The Producer and J-dog posted on the bands myspace. It had many positive replied, which made them form Hollywood Undead with their friends Johnny 3 Tears, Charlie Scene, Funny Man, Da Kurlzz and Shady Jeff. Shady Jeff soon left, leaving them with six members. In their first nine weeks on myspace, they had almost a million plays, and by 2006 were said to be myspace’s top unsigned artists with over 8 million plays. By 08, they had over 440,000. They made their live debut in August 08 at the Virgin Mobile Festival after winning 285,000 (over half the total) in a Book the Band contest. Their song Undead was released as an official single on August 19th 08, making it the second song the be released from their album, ‘Swan Songs’
They are currently scheduled to perform at Bamboozle Sunday 3rd of May.
The band spent three years working on their first album. They were originally signed to Myspace Records, but left after myspace tried to censor the album. They then signed to A&M/Octone Records and their album Swan Songs was released 2nd of September 08. It reached #22 on the Billboard charts, selling 21,000 copies.
I love this band because it buts together two completely different genres of music and it works so well. The lyrics are written so beautifully and I’m yet to find a song I hate. My personal favorite is The Loss.
If you like Hollywood Undead, try 3OH!3 or Eminem.

Some of their songs are fun to just bump while driving in a car and I find their lyrics hilarious.
Personal favorite is Dead in Ditches, once I get my Sub, this stuff is gonna get blasted. Can't say I have seen any "scene" kids in my school, but then again I only know of 7 people who actually listen to them.
