If they would have had an open beta there wouldn't be all these optimization issues.
barge
Lag Ops
can safely say that I did not expect black ops to be this poorly optimized compared to the other COD games.
I can safely play W@W, MW2 with no problems. This one, 11 fps and waiting periods beyond playability.
Despite a lot of people saying it's incredibly laggy, it's probably going to be as huge as MW2... Ugh.
bad ops
Expensive Ops
Sounds like Activision is really trying to fuck the PC community over even more.

Lol butthurt pc gamers thinking that 20 something thousand is a large amount of players.

same here, everything runs fine
@ the disagrees, why is there no edit in here?
Just so everyone is clear it's a bug causing the bad performance, it's not a shit port or bad optimization causing it.
60 u$s

Uh, yeah, it kinda is. If 20 something thousand is "nothing" to you then I don't know what is something.
From what I've heard this is actually much better than MW2 game-play wise.
I may actually buy it if the bugs are fixed and it's well received by the PC community.

That doesn't mean it does for everyone

Try 200 thousand? Not enough for you? How about those 2 million on Xbox live?
They have a much greater profit from catering to console gamers, they hardly give a shit about the pc version.

Assuming that the peak Black ops players and the peak MW2 players are mostly separate people, thats 130,241 playing call of duty multiplayer just today. Even if the console audience is larger, that is still plenty of profit.

Really? Then explain to me why CoD:WaW was so well supported on the PC. Free map packs, many many updates, etc. Unless Activision is fucking them up the ass this time around I don't see how this will be any different.

Take your bullshit elsewhere.
It's launch day, that's not surprising.

Same, I get twice the FPS in BO that I had in MW2. But it lags worse than XBL.

Except you know, Steam has 30 million active accounts. Granted not all 30 million are playing the same games (due to such a high variety), it's hardly a number you simply ignore. If you even manage to grab the attention of 10% of Steam's users then that's a huge number.
http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
Each day there is about a peak of 3 million users online at any given time. Even looking at Black Ops right now, it's got a 57 thousand player count, and that's just for this exact instant on release day. Imagine the total summary of each week.
Hardly a statistic I would ignore given the amount of profit that could be earned. It's not really an excuse given Activision's size and financial situation. If they actually do a good job, they can expect a return much higher than the investment capital.
