So, plan B. What do you guys think?
Edit: see post #19 for my rough draft.
You should try the second option.
Write about how you were so uninspired you had to ask a video game forum for ideas.
The effects of internet anonymity on people's attitudes and inhibition
the effects on the brain and social ability of long-term posting on facepunch
You know, that aint a bad idea...
You're not allowed to say brainstorm any more. It's offensive or scary or some shit :downs:
Usually colleges give you a topic to write on, but if not, just write about yourself as a student and why you would be a good candidate for that college of your choice.
Lucky for me, I finished all my apps early, and got accepted to all that I applied to already.
Write about facepunch.
Just like magick
just write about yourself as a student and why you would be a good candidate for that college of your choice.
No one cares about that shit. Write an essay about something important. It'll probably have nothing to do with your life.
The falling economy and the possibility of the intentional devaluation of the American Dollar.
Write an essay about essays.
Like, who invented essays, what are they used for and shit like that.
No one cares about that shit. Write an essay about something important. It'll probably have nothing to do with your life.
College essays are typically expected to be based on personal experiences and opinions. They should offer some insight about who you are as a person and as a student.
Which essay are you talking about?
If it's the 500-600 word main essay, write about yourself. That's the purpose of that essay. Write about an experience in the past that has affected your outlook on life. It can even be something relatively small, like recalling something someone had said to you.
If it's the 250 word activities essay, and you want to write your main essay on some extracurricular activity as well, choose a different one for the activities essay. Write about your progress in that activity, or some significant stepping stone in that progress.
If it's the supplement for their Honors college, try to cite some writers that you are inspired by. They don't have to be canon like Tolstoy or Thoreau, but don't get too pop-culture either. Steven King or Douglas Adams would be fine, but Stephenie Meyer (Twilight) would be going a bit too far.
GOOD LUCK! :D

The one i have to do is 250 words, but is about myself. Thanks, but im working on a facepunch essay and ill post it here :smug:
Yeah, because asking facepunch is a good idea and you will get completely sensible answers.
Write an essay on how an overload of college work could effect a persons mental health, they might get the message.
Write about what kind of impressions you've noticed to have made in your life, what signs made you see how other people were thinking about you and why you think they thought so.
Like when you ask a good question from a speaker, it's obvious that they just light up and really get excited about explaining it. They're likely to think that you're interested in the subject as well because it's the kind of a question they themselves would ask - being a question they can answer well it's most likely one they've thought about themselves.
Experiences like that.

Oh so I'm late.
This is my essay- i think its 250 words. If anyone wants to edit, go ahead:
** * *On the Internet, there are many things that can harm us. Whether it is social networking sites, pornography, or cyber bullying, they all have a negative impact on our lives. However, there is one positive thing that came out of my time with the Internet- a popular forum called Facepunch.
** *Before I knew about the site, i was a depressed mess. My grades were low, I was having problems at home, and i didnt have many relaible friends. However, when a friend of mine introduced me to the site, I was overfilled with laughter and began to enjoy life again. My depression became much better over the span of just two weeks, and I liked it so much i got an account and began to post myself.
** *On this site, it talks about current events in the world, philosophical discussions, and even different lifestyles. People on the site have a great sense of humor, yet are very fluent in their arguments. Because of this, my writing skills increased, my humor was better received (Allowing me more chances to have friends), and it made me aware of undiscussed problems in the world.*
** *If it wasn't for this site, my life wouldn't be nearly as good as it is today. I now have a girlfriend, my grade in Honors English went up to a B, and i feel like a more social person. There may be a lot of guilty pleasures on the Internet, but Facepunch surely isnt one of them.
Jesus Christ 250 words is too short for a fucking poem

This is true. Something about epilepsy and how the term for something is a "brain storm".
brb wikipedia
Edit:
Some governmental organisations (The Welsh Development Agency and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in Belfast) have reached the conclusion that the term 'brainstorming' is offensive to people with epilepsy[15] (see political correctness) and have suggested the alternative "thought-showers". However, research by the National Society for Epilepsy found of those affected by epilepsy questioned, 93% considered the term inoffensive. A specific comment states that changes need not be made since that could promote an undesirable image of epileptics being easily offended[15].
