Adding a layer of amusement to the familiar leitmotif is that this particular video specially deals with people getting mad over a nonexistent NYPD policy called "stop-and-kiss."
As its name suggests, the policy "allows officers to kiss anyone who they think looks suspicious."
"Stop and kiss ? NYPD need to chill," tweeted one of the many rock-dwellers who took to social media to actually protest a parody video about a fake protest.
"i dont understand the stop and kiss program..its taking it a little too far," tweeted another concerned citizen.
"the stop and kiss police enforcement program cannot be real life," tweeted one woman who almost got it.
It's not real? Aw, there goes my weekend plans
Although with all the suspicious people around NY, the cops would probably get mono after their first shift
I thought it was hilarious when I saw it.
That said, people who think this is in any way real probably should stop believing everything on the internet to be 100% true fact.
Or it just shows that people are so unknowledgeable about police work that they think kissing people has any sort of forensic value.
how fucking stupid do you have to be to think that this is real
glad to see the onion is going back to its roots
It's it's flashy and professional looking enough, people will buy it.

for a while I was rather concerned about their writing going down the tubes but the past few bits I've seen from them have been golden

That's kind of ironic actually, a pae about people not catching satire missing satire
Still waiting on the Onion article detailing increased plane crashes because of heightened demand in "cloud storage"
Suggest it to them?
Suggest it to them?
they don't take suggestions, it's probably just annoying to them when people send them in
Still waiting on the Onion article detailing increased plane crashes because of heightened demand in "cloud storage"
That's brilliant. They should do a whole article where it states all the issues with cloud storage. How you have to wait for the cloud to be in range to retrieve it or how it bulks up clouds causing accidents. Haha.

Please write in to them suggesting this. Please, this is comedy gold.
I never know if you're actually saying butt or if it's just that cloud to butt script.
I don't find the Onion that funny but it is probably still the best idiot bait there is after all these years

and people will still believe it
I still love the snippet from their morning show when two Boy scouts were talking about how they will check for lumps on Women's boobs for a dollar :v:
