JERUSALEM — Bulgarian investigators said Tuesday that the Lebanese group Hezbollah was responsible for a July bus bombing that killed five Israeli tourists and their Bulgarian bus driver in the Black Sea resort of Burgas, as Israel had asserted.
The announcement was certain to heighten pressure on the European Union to join Israel and the United States in labeling Hezbollah a terrorist group, allowing law enforcement agents in Europe to seize assets, restrict travel and arrest members.
Bulgarian officials said two of the three suspects in the attack entered the country with Canadian and Australian passports.
"We have well-grounded reasons to suggest that the two were members of the militant wing of Hezbollah," Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov told reporters. "We expect the government of Lebanon to assist in the further investigation."

WELP
why don't we just give palestine (syria, jordan, isreal, lebanon, etc.) back to the turks and be done with this shit.
But seriously, the situations in some of these areas and the middle east in general is absolutely terrible, something besides direct military conflict and diplomatic standstills will have to happen.
Where's Starpluck to whiteknight Hezbollah as freedom fighters? :v:
Fucking Hezbollah, that's not how you get anybody on your side, especially with helping Syria.
I can assure you this was stated under immense political pressure from other countries - there is a quite big possibility that it isn't true.

Actually (and it says this in the article) the overwhelming majority of the EU doesn't recognize Hezbollah as a terrorist organization which you WOULD HAVE KNOWN IF YOU HAD READ THE ARTICLE
Well, if it was Hezbollah's militant wing there goes all credibility they had in the international community

Are there militant wings of political organizations that do have good credibility?
I mean, it's a militant wing of a political party.

I read the article which is exactly why I'm saying this. Someone wants the majority of the EU to recognize Hezbollah as a terrorist organization and this is how they do it.

I meant the organisation as a whole but you do make a good point

you do know most of the mess over there happens because of either religion or ethinic issues right? also turkey commited genocide quite a few times, they're not THAT better actually, just more stable and somewhat more secular cause they're smart enough to avoid pissing off the west, a good part of the problem in the middle east is a direct result of imperialism and colonialism.

You'd be surprised how many people, Christian and Muslim, support Hezbollah in Lebanon.
